3D Design Software for Home Renovations

Hi, I'm looking for an affordable, simple app to design some home renovations. I will initially use it mainly to design the backyard landscaping, including deck, courtyards, gardens, BBQ area, etc. But also may use it for some interior renovations in future. I want an app that allows me to put in all the measurements of the property, and specific objects, colours, etc. then view it from different perspectives.

I've tried a few of the free ones available for the iPad and didn't like them much. I would prefer an iPad app because I like the hands-on feeling of designing with your finger/pencil, but can also go with PC/Mac apps if they're much better.

      Thanks, unfortunately my 2018 iPad Pro doesn't have LIDAR.

        Of course you can use it without - I don't use LiDAR scanning

    If you have a pencil then download morpholio trace, the pro version is under $30 for a year and it’s one of the best architect tools on the iPad.

    Same deal with me, i want to do some basic landscaping 3D work but can't get the visuals right. I wish there was something like the free 3D kitchen/bathroom planners!

    SketchUp is very powerful, really good tool to start playing around with for a lot of these things.

    Not sure about it on the iPad.

    It has an incredibly large community "warehouse" with loads of preloaded models you can import, furniture, cabinets etc. Very good starting point / introduction to CAD
