Sticky Notes - Deals, Knockoffs and Alternatives

I use a lot of sticky notes because of my brain issues.

I hate buying branded things like a good ozbargainer but I haven't been able to find a brand of sticky notes that will reliably stick except for Postit.

But Postits are hideously expensive. My wallet cries every time I need a refill.

Can anyone help me with:

An alternative to sticky notes?

A brand of sticky note that actually sticks that isnt post it?

Good deals on posits?
Seriously I go through them like an addict through drugs and I need a good dealer or some to fall off a truck or something please

Thank you

Ditch the pen & paper and go digital perhaps?

I mostly use Google Keep since the UI is kept really simple, and if I need to take notes without typing it also has a voice dictation function on mobile.

If you still want to write, then perhaps buy a magnetic whiteboard from Kmart and hang it on your wall. Or buy one of those Xiaomi writing pads ($27.35 with code APRL17)

    • Thank you for your suggestions.

Ive treid digital many times and paper seems ton
work for me slightly better, but i will give it another go.

I have whiteboards but i of course stick post its onto them LOL. I think what puts me off is that its harder to move things around.

Just buy post it notes. You could make your own with some two way glue but post it notes are so cheap. Less than $1 per 100 sheet pad https://www.amazon.com.au/Post-Notes-Marseille-Collection-65…

    • You are right really i guess they are cheap its just the upfront cost i struggle with sometimes with my budget.

Ive made a spreadhseet working out the cheapest packs and the cheapest are 2 cents a note which isnt a lot is it. Although when you use them the way i do it does add up. The most expensive are 60 cents a note so i shall avoid those.

  • make friends with someone with a office job :)
but make sure their company aint cheap first!
usually someone in project management, they love using postit notes

    • Are you suggesting stealing from the company? Right…

Are you using the post-it notes in the same place over and over (e.g. next to the front door at home)? Might be time to buy a small (magnetic) whiteboard, if so

      Thabk you for your suggestion.

A chalkboard does work for the household combined grocery list. Akthough ironically it then gets written down to take to shops, often on a postit LOL.

I will ponder this some more. There are quite a few places and types of note it could work for.

One issue is that it is harder to rearange the information on a white board etc than on seperate postits.

Cut A4 paper up into small squares and a roll of sticky tape with dispenser.

    • Thabk you for you suggestion.

Tape isnt as reliably sticky or cleably removable. Similarly to the fake knock off non 3m post its.

You know what though i wjll keep this as my dire times option. If ive run out of postits or im in bad financial circumstances.

      Thank you

  • I msde a spreadsheet to find yhe cheapest packets per note.

Im trying to set up some camel alerts but im having trouble so gonna make another thread.
