Hi there, can you combine two Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 to extend Wi-Fi coverage in the house?
These modems can be used with Telstra Wi-Fi booster which works as mesh to increase coverage but as I already have two modems I was wondering if these two can be combined as a mesh. 1 as primary modem router connected to NBN and 2nd as Wi-Fi extender.
Thanks
Yes you can, there are tutorials online.
Just google 'Using * modem model * as an access point' and follow the instructions. I have a Gen 1 modem/router plugged into the NTD and 2 Gen2 modems as access points. You'll need to remove the mobile card and adjust some setting but it's pretty simple.
