German piano
This world-famous German-made piano is beloved by countless pianists for its diverse range of expressive power. With stunning sonic dynamism and vibrance, its palette ranges from brilliant highs to chillingly detailed lows. The provided sounds include the majestic "German concert piano" and a "Classic piano" noted for its delicate and complex tone.

Electric piano
An e-piano that reproduces the differences in tone that arise from your playing dynamics and even simulates the sound of a key-off. Conjure electric piano sounds that are instantly recognizable from decades of great music.

Organ
Sounds appropriate for rock and jazz are provided, as well as the sublime sound of a real recorded pipe organ.

Keyboard that reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano.
This instrument uses a Natural Weighted Hammer Action (NH) keyboard that reproduces the same feel that results from the hammers on a real acoustic piano, where the low register is heavier and the high register is lighter. The keybed is sensitive and responds to nuanced touch at the tip of your fingers.

Equipped with versatile i/o for a range of connectivity.
The B2 provides connectors that allow using the instrument in conjunction with a variety of software and music hardware. This opens new possibilities for enjoying a digital piano that helps users create great music.

USB MIDI/AUDIO
You can use a USB cable* to connect this instrument's USB port to your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and use the B2 as a MIDI keyboard to play an external sound module. Your performance on the B2 can be recorded as music data on your smartphone, and sound from your smartphone can be heard through the speakers of the B2.
*USB cable sold separately for connection to your PC, and a USB cable + Lightning-USB camera adaptor (both sold separately) for connection to your iPhone or iPad.

AUDIO IN
By connecting your smartphone's headphone jack or your music player, you can output your favorite music through the speakers of the B2 and enjoy playing along. Even when you're not playing the piano, you can use the B2 as a home speaker system for enjoying music.

Convenience and functionality with the simplicity of a real piano.

The metronome can be turned on/off with one touch. There's a touch control function that gives you three levels of adjustment for how your playing dynamics affect the sound (light, normal, heavy), letting users perform with a response that suits their own style. Also provided are settings for two effects: reverb and chorus.

Included music rest for sheet music and mobile devices.

The removable music rest features a wide, spacious design. There's enough space to spread out several sheets of music, reducing your need to turn pages while performing. You can also place sheet music beside your iPad or other tablet.

Listing doesn't mention, so just confirming - does this have no audio or headphone outputs?

    • +2

I own one of these - confirmed it does have a headphone out.

      From the official specs:

      Connections
PHONES (Headphone/ LINE OUT combined use), USB TYPE B), AUDIO IN, PEDAL

    • +2

      It has an Audio Output:1 x 1/4″ (headphone/line out)

Very nice keyboard, looks and feels super classy.

If buying though, do check all the keys thoroughly once you receive it - I've owned a B1 and B2, and both experienced issues with one or two keys feeling loose (see this clip for an example). It seems to be a known issue, so warranty replacement/repair is fairly straightforward.

If you're a new customer, you can sign up for their newsletter for 5% off your first order, which takes the price down to $759.05

    • +1

How long before you received the 5% newsletter offer? Thanks!

      • You can sign up on the home page (about 2/3 of the way down). After entering your email address and clicking "SIGN UP", you'll receive an email that says "Confirm Your Subscription". When you click the "Yes, I want to subscribe" button in the email, that opens a web page that says "You've Been Subscribed". The code is on that web page so you need to note it down. I haven't received any other email since.

        • I have the code but there is no place to put in during the checkout. Emailed staff to ask but no response so far. Looks like they have disabled that on their Shopify admin console.

          • @vinataba: Doesn't your checkout screen look like this? The field for the code is at the right. I just tried it and it still works.

            • @ak47wong: Yeah, they got back to me. Apparently, using the code with other "offerred" product in cart is impossible. It's working now. Thanks.

  • How good are these ?

I am looking to buy a new one for my daughter who just started learning.

Of all 3 suggestions by her piano teacher(acoustic, weighted/digital and unweighted) - I am inclined towards the weighted. But unsure whats the best one to buy.

My daughter's piano teacher suggested either the Yamaha P Series or Casio PX Series(this one seems to be more popular with teachers).

    • Also consider the Roland fp10 or fp30.

    • +5

Of all 3 suggestions by her piano teacher(acoustic, weighted/digital and unweighted)

Weird, I cannot imagine under what circumstances a teach would recommend and unweighted keyboard!

    • Casio ap series are also very nice. There was a cashbavk running but theyre about double OPs deal posted here.

In case you're on a budget, I'm currently learning on a Donner SE-1 88 Keys Digital Piano with Weighted Keys.

I bought mine from Donner on eBay. For the same above setup, they are currently $700 .

They also have a 10% off code running on it bringing it to $630.

If you just want the Piano it's $500 less 10% bringing it to $450 which includes the sustain pedal, Note-Stand and Earphones.

I have absolutely no complaints with the Piano, feels good and has a good review on YouTube from Jeremy See who reviews a ton of Keyboards and Pianos.

I have no experience on the Korg but as far as I've heard, it's pricy if you're not sure how often it will end up being used. So I just spent the $450 on the Donner SE-1

      • Thank you.

      weighted keys ALWAYS

      • Is this weighted?

    • I was in the same situation a few years ago, bought an used Casio PX160 right before the pandemic broke out.

I did my research a few years ago but it might still be useful for you.

Back then, the most inexpensive and recommended 88 weighted keys digital piano were:
      1. Casio PX160. The most recommended because of the price and better action from triple sensors. It has since been discontinued and replaced by the newer PX-S1000. I read some reports about the smaller form factor making it harder to press the keys further up because of the shorter pivots.
      2. Yamaha P45. The cheapest from Yamaha. Many consider its action is not as good as Casio PX160 and feels spongy. Most recommend the Yamaha P125 instead.
      3. Korg B1. The predecessor of B2. Many suggest the action is similar to Yamaha P45. Iirc there was no usb out on B1 so it was a deal breaker. I'm sure B2 has it.

If you are prepared to spend a bit more for better action, the entry level Roland and Kawaii are definite step up. But the consensus was you couldn't go wrong buying the first three for beginners.

I concerned myself with the action only. The onboard speakers will never provide good sound quality due to the laws of physics (size and placement restrictions). Once your girl is sure to continue learning, you can hook up the piano to a computer through USB so you can use the high quality piano sound samples. Together with a pair of good speakers (I use the JBL LSR305 studio monitors often appeared on ozbargain), you are not missing too much from the real acoustic concert grand like Steinway D and Yamaha CFX in the sound department. I think the state of the art action is still the Kawaii VPC, paired with good speakers, it would be the ultimate digital piano that even rivals the much more expensive acoustic pianos.

Have a look of model reviews on forum.pianoworld.com I learnt heaps over there as an absolute beginner. Good luck to you and your girl. Cheers

      • @georgiechan Thank you so much for the detailed information.

  • @OP

Which one do you recommend for young kids starting out from your collection.
    Thanks

    • We usually direct the young kids to start on the Korg Liano, much easier to learn on with the keys, but if you want a fully weighted piano at the moment this price is much better than anything else.

You also get the added bonus of the wooden stand and 3 pedal board.

  • I actually want a korg in red - but it seems only available on the super extreme models?

  • +1

I did a ton of research on digital pianos in this class before buying this model for my wife who was just starting out. Very pleased with this purchase. As mentioned above, very classy looking, and has great keyboard feel and sound.

  • I'd avoid Korg. I've got a similar model that's about 4 years (so not the exact same model). But the little rubber contacts under the keys failed after about 2 years. I replaced them all with original Korg ones. Worked fine for about 2 years and now they've failed again. Seems like they are only good for about 2 years. I won't buy Korg again.

  • I got a Korg LP-380 from Belfield Music 2 years ago, still very happy about the RH3 key action.

  • how does it compare to Samick S4?
    Really want to know, thanks!!

    • I haven't played the Samick S4, but ill ask around and see if any of the team has.

  • What is the difference between this B2SP and the B2?

    • +1

The only difference is the SP comes as a pack with a Piano stand and 3 pedal board. You can purchase the B2 and the options separately but the SP has the 3 pedal board mounted tot he stand which can't be done with the B2

  • Any piano bench recommend?

    • +1

I can do this one with a piano purchase for $150
      https://www.belfieldmusic.com.au/products/casio-pbbk-adjusta…

      • That is a good offer, thanks.

The B2-SP white version looks nice, is it possible to do the price match?

        • yes PM me your email and I can send you a link to the white one at the same deal.

      • Price not showing for me even with the piano, is a code needed?

  • I really hope to get the white colour for this price……

    • yes PM me your email and I can send you a link to the white one at the same deal.

      • Thank you! I have sent my email via PM.

      • Also interested in getting a white one. Can you please also send me the link? Already PM'ed you. Thanks!

  • Damn I literally bought this a month ago for $900. Great keyboard for beginners.

    • The roland one does not have pedals.
I have read through reviews, it seems that the roland one wins in terms of key action, but its pedal (not included in the price here) is weak.

  • There have to be so many ling lings on these forums.

How many people have amus and almus lol?

    • +1

Do you mean AMus and LMus??

      • probably yeah lol stopped doing grades 20 years ago

  • not happy with my korg b2
