The add-on is 5 for 6.95 and can only be ordered via the app hack. This can be ordered in store and comes with an extra tender.

I watched the staff member fill our box. They used a clear plastic cup and filled it up 2x. The problem was the cup had popcorn chicken stuck in the bottom of the cup (stuck 1/2 way up the cup) so really we only got 1 cup of popcorn chicken in our box. I mentioned it to the staff member handing out our meal and it just went over the top of their head.
The app doesn’t work for me on the iPhone.

I can't eat KFC anymore, they have gone so downhill in terms of the quality of their food.
The popcorn chicken is probably the only thing I would eat from there now.Red Rooster does better fried chicken compared to KFC now.

It might be a typo.. just looked at regular menu and they only have regular and maxi popcorn chicken. No large…?
I was gonna say, there has never been a "large" popcorn chicken. Only Snack (comes with some box meals), Regular, Maxi and the promo $10 buckets.
Greg on YouTube just did a review. It didn’t look like maxi to me. Although on the KFC app if you look at the KJ of the large in the feast, it does match up with that of the maxi. So maybe it’s a typo after all.

sigh. I basically got a small popcorn that was put in a paper cover that is usually used for small fries, and 10 nuggets. They didnt even have the decency to use the box for this small popcorn. Admittedly they put the paper cover full of popcorn and the nuggets into a big box. So I whipped out my phone and showed it to the kid that it is supposed to be a "Large" as per app, and he said he can't give me a maxi he can only do whats on his ordering screen and that maybe KFC is calculating a large as 2 smalls implying that a large is not the same as a maxi and KFC is doing scummy category making-upping. I didnt even get 2 smalls worth of popcorn.

OP title is incorrect it is not maxi popcorn chicken it is 'large', as complaint above
Family Burger deal used to be $20, so good. 4 zinger burgers, 2 large sides and a drink, and split that for 2 people or 4.

Hadn't been to KFC in awhile. Sure enough, typical crap you deal with there. Ordered 12 tenders, got 6. Got a gravy….when did they change it to the tiny tub? $5 for that, are you serious.
It annoys me that gravy is so small. Same price as the large potato & gravy but if you don't want potato, all they do is remove the potato and not give you gravy in its place. You pay for nothing.
Is the seasonal hot & spicy a yearly thing or did we just happen to get lucky last year? I remember it being released nationwide around this time last year

Maxi, large, whatever they want to call it - I just ate the $10 popcorn chicken and nuggets deal and I'm still really hungry. If they could just be transparent about the amounts they're actually going to give you it would be easier to know how much to order.
Menu changes overnight. Some are in the inaccessible FOMO WOW menu (unless you hack it - in which case you can order them) but give an indication of upcoming targeted promos.
Cheap as chips and the 2 sides going up is really bad
Burger combo deluxe at $9.95 is probably worse

Some pretty great new promos coming up, like the Zinger Pop Combo is a Zinger combo with regular (not snack) sized popcorn chicken for $7.95 (the one with nuggs comes with 6 nuggets for the same price)
The $15 Value Burger Box is 4x OR/Zinger burgers and 4 regular sides (chips/p&g/coleslaw) (no drink)
How to access this menu?
You either need to modify the app or serve the app a modified menu. Both are complicated and frankly too hard to teach to the average user.
any resources for those tech savvy to read up on this?
@nsingh21: MITM the app traffic and modify the server response that contains the menu items. There are many ways to achieve this but most require a rooted Android emulator or phone connected to a PC.
@Kronos: @Kronos - thanks for pointing me into some direction. Although I doubt I'd do this much effort to save a few bucks on KFC, but its the joy of learning & knowing the skill (and sometimes self-learning) that makes it fun.

FOMO WOW is typically used for testing menu items and hiding menu items, so yeah - mashies will probably be coming back the next time they refresh the menu. They seem to come with a side of gravy.
