EB have these pre-owned for $14:

Is it really worth getting a second hand controller (the part of a videogame system that receives the most physical wear and tear) for a saving of $12.90? It's certainly a valid alternative, but it's not worth it for me.
Is it really worth getting a second hand controller
Yeah…dunno…just putting it out there ;)
As cyssero said, you would want to have a look at it first, although I assume it comes with some sort of warranty?
Not bad, but most controllers get pretty grimy. Would be good if you could inspect it first.
Gah! I literally just bought one of these from JB the other day for $38!
Good controller, works fine on PC.
just bought the wireless one dammit
wireless > wired by far
since i'm at a fair distance from the TV and xbox, wired is useless to me
I actually prefer wired for the fact I don't have to (ever) worry about batteries and the PC compatibility, too. The wireless receiver for PC was nearly as expensive as the wired controller itself when I first bought mine.
The wire is actually quite a good distance too at 2.7m.
They're a bit cheaper now. These receivers work OK for $8.38 delivered:

does anyone really worry about batteries? I thought everyone was chock full of rainbow sparkle eneloops
DX and ebay pc receivers were under $10 for a long long time
I use Eneloop's in the wireless controllers but they do need to be replaced at some point and it's another $10 for the receiver (which was about $20+ for a genuine when I was looking). Each to their own but I'd prefer to avoid batteries and receivers altogether.
Can I use it as a second controller for my Xbox (i.e. plug in two controllers)? Would like to play games together with my son
Sure can, my friend! My 360 Slim has 5 USB ports so that is more than enough to support the max number of controllers. I'm not sure which 360 console you have and I can't remember if older consoles had less USB ports but you can safely assume it will have two! I would highly recommend the wireless version though. Yeah you have to use AAs but I go months with fairly heavy usage before I need to change them and you get the benefit of not having wires dangling around the place for your son (or you!) to trip over. All the best :)
Thanks, mate.
Any hint on where I can get the wireless one at a good price?Try this from the same place

Yep just beaten to it. Looks to be about the best price going at the moment, bilanovsky :)
pauper, johno07 - thanks guys
looks good!
can only order 1
Hi just order one, however, for such a cheap price, is it 100% real and not the fake one? I have never bought anything from this website before, can anyone confirm? thx
Mighty Ape is a reputable company based in New Zealand. You can be sure that the controllers they're selling are 100% real :)
Lol at whoever is going through and negging all my posts.
Great price. Has almost universal support in games and imo, is the best value controller you can find.
I use it primarily as a PC controller but of course, it makes an excellent spar Xbox 360 controller as well :)
