Winix Zero+ PRO 5-Stage Air Purifier (Bonus $45 HN Gift Card & a Set of GT Filters) $499 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Harvey Norman

140

I think this is a pretty decent deal, so grabbed one myself. I currently have the Stage 4 model in my bedroom, but wanted another for our living space. These are great for allergies and also very quiet.

This model is the Stage 5, which also has a pet filter layer. It has decent reviews on Choice and elsewhere. The cheapest I have ever seen is $440 earlier on in the year (Amazon) but this deal comes with a $45 gift card and an extra set of GT filters, which are valued at $289, so it's better than the Amazon deal.

  • What is a GT filter?

    • They're the WINIX ZERO+ PRO 5-stage replacement filter value-pack (with Pet Filters). Looking at the package, it's a combo pack of the the eodorization Filter, HEPA filter AND and 12 pack of Pet Filters.

  • 24 months internet free also🏑.

  • Pet filter seems attractive, as I am considering buying a samsung Ax60 air purifier

No offence, but I breath unfiltered air and drink tap water.
What's with all the filtering and bottling?
    (Will bottled air be next?)

I used to get severe hay fever regularly until I got an air purifier in the bedroom. It’s been pretty life changing to be honest. Always amazes me how much crap it has picked up when I clear the filter.

      • Well if it help, sure. But what about when you go outside?

You know tap water is filtered and treated right? people that drank from wells could ask that question of you

      • Yep, and so is the air you breathe. Save the forests! Plant a tree!

    • I was just watching the latest “Extrapolations” episode and they all have Oxygen packs when leaving their home.

  • I'm thinking vacuuming might do a similar job, as long as you have a HEPA filter.

    • In the event that you're not trolling, shoppe, I have a Dyson V11 and irobot s9+, which both have HEPA filters. The s9+ is automated to run at 1am daily and the v11 is on quite a bit. They keep the floor smick. I also have the BravaJet which talks to the s9+ so we get the morning cleaned mopping experience as well. Even with those products, which I love, I still find air purifiers invaluable. Our Winix Stage 4 made a huge difference in hay fever response and air quality, even with the daily vacuuming. The pet dander is the killer though, and that's why I think the Winix 5 is worthwhile. It's probably not for you though seeing you're not suspectable to average, fair or poor air quality.

      • Do you run this constantly or just when your home in your room? My sons suffers badly from hayfever, considering getting 1

        • I leave mine on continuously with auto mode, mel.

          • @hodgey: Thanks for that, expensive to run?

            • @mel82: Not that I'm aware. I've had the Winix 4 for a couple of years and never noticed any spikes in my electricity use. I've since moved it to the living room and now have the Winix 5 in my bedroom. There's a decent youtube on the Winix 5 that goes into it in a bit more depth on how it runs etc. The main killer in terms of price, though, is replacing the filters, as they need to be done yearly (except for the pet filters, which I believe is monthly, but you get a heap initially). With the bonus set of filters that comes with this deal, you wouldn't need to worry about replacing filters for 24 months anyway. Also, for your reference, I just did a quick search for the Winix 5 on here, and there is a decent amount of good reviews and comments from ozbargainers.

  • Does the replacement GT filter come separately from the Winix Zero+ air purifier box? My husband bought one yesterday but not sure if he got the replacement. Ta!

    • It comes separately, so sounds like he didn't get it. They had none in stock in my local HN, so they had to order them in for me. It'll take two weeks. The Sales Rep told me the same thing happened to a customer who bought one on Friday. The only extra filters you'll see in the original box is the pet filters.

      • Thanks for confirming! I will ask him to go back to the store and hoping there's stock.

      • Since you seem quite knowledgeable about air purifiers, what's your thought on Xiaomi Air Purifiers (I'm thinking the 3H model as I don't want one with negative ion producing capabilities). I do have some dust and grass allergies but am thinking of running these in the kids rooms and office
