    • That might be a bit difficult. You could always print out the picture I posted. It's size A5.

Chances are they will honor it.

I'm an agnostic atheist but I still have the decency to respect other people's beliefs and don't go around putting them down.

    • +1

You make the rest of the Atheists look really bad.

What you said is most likely true. But may not be appropriate to say it out laud here.

    Nice one!!

The discount code should read 'BWC25OFF' not 'BWC250FF' (O not zero)

    • That's what I thought at first but the original A5 Voucher looked like a zero and not the letter "O".

I'm sure people will figure it out if they try.

Can anyone confirm if it's an "O" and not zero?

This isn't the place for religious debate. If you don't like deals from this store, use the Hide From Listing link so you don't have to see them any more. Your personal beliefs are not a valid reason to neg the deal.

Who is this 'we' you speak of?

    • -3

"We"? Did you help land the vehicle on mars jagsman? If other people are doing amazing things, it doesn't make you any smarter.

      • +6

Come on, guys; the term "we" is commonly used to refer to the human race as a whole - especially in the context of scientific endeavours. You're deliberately interpreting the word literally (and incorrectly) in order to put him down. I'm sure there is a name for that logical fallacy but I can't think of it right now. Yeah he was being insensitive to people that believe in this stuff but for God's sake (sorry) we landed on the moon in 1969 and we landed Curiosity on Mars this week.

        "Can we all get along?"

        • It's not my fault some people can't distinguish between a fallacy and a rhetorical question. There is a big difference between "can't we all get along" we and "we landed this and that on mars" we comments

        • I was actually asking if you could get along. Yes it's different - what's your point? Do you disagree with that use of the word "we" then? I.e. "We rendered the thylacine extinct in the early 20th century". I sure as hell had nothing to do with the extinction of the Tasmanian tiger, but you and everyone else knows what I'm talking about.

        • How about you read all these sentences about "we" that have been listed so far and see how the tone of them sits with you, maybe you will understand my rhetorical question then

Any good deals on The Life of Brian?

Not a religious person by any means but I really enjoyed the Left Behind series of books.

Nothing wrong with reading others beliefs/ideologies/mantras, especially when it is not pushed down your throat.

Open your minds and you may find something, even a small morsel, that could change the way you think EVEN if you remain strong in your belief against a God or anything religious.

    • +1

I'm not religious either but I find the fundamental part of most belief systems is overshadowed by arguments about who's god is better, how many arms he should have or whether he/she/it even exists. It is my opinion (belief, if you will) that the core of religion is a set of rough guidelines on how to be a decent human.

Bible summed up in a six words?
"Be a good person, dudes. Peace."

Can I just challenge you guys to try extra hard to keep your comments on topic for Word or Koorong deals?

I can appreciate that you're trying to spread good-will and harmony, but if you truly respect the deeply personal and relational experience that characterises faith resist the temptation to sum up or simplify something which is, definitively, holy to many people.

Your respect for a different belief system is marked by your measured restraint: you accept what is different by not trying to make it the same.

I don't expect to garner votes; I do hope to challenge your thinking. As you say: peace.

        • And there we go. Being told I'm wrong. Well done, MattyD - you've missed the point. And not only have you told me I'm wrong, but you've done it after you've told me I was off-topic, and then continue to be apparently off-topic yourself.

Your respect for a different belief system is marked by your measured restraint…

What so I can't talk about it? Is the first rule of religion club - don't talk about religion club? Should have known it was inappropriate to voice my own beliefs about a belief system.
