Hurry, offer ends 30 April 2023.

How do I get it?

    Heaps good!

    • With the prices of fuel lately this will come handy.

  • -1

OTR app at some stations gives 10c off, just gotta keep on top.

Costco is literally 20c cheaper all the time.

    • +2

Just use RAA app to see where it's cheaper nearby. And whereever it comes up as cheaper then go for it. That's what I do. But I won't drive 10 kms to save 1 or 2 cents.

    • +3

The OTR app is quite good. Using this and Petrol Spy app I end up with the cheapest wherever I’m closest to.

Costco isn’t always the cheapest. I’ve found that when prices rise during a cycle by 10-20c the United Pie Face across from Castle Plaza usually doesn’t goes up and is therefore 20c cheaper than the rest.

As for the RAA with the 4c, EG Ampols are far and few so doesn’t work well for myself. YMMV.

    • +9

Which is fine if you live near Costco, they only have one location in Adelaide. Driving there and back would wipe out any saving for a lot of people.

      • it's only 36km each way for me
        .

    • -1

I’ve got 20c per litre my last two fills at OTR using the app, not sure if it has something to do with quantity though as both purchases were 100+ litres of diesel and were capped at $20. I just check the RAA app for pricing and check where it’s cheap and if it’s in the direction we’re heading. Also super convenient filling up using the app when you’ve got little kids and a dog in the car, not having to go into the shop to pay!

      • -1

I got 2 cents off, noticed select OTRs have 10c off so it must vary

  • Why has this got an April 30 end date on it? It's literally been going on forever (well, slight exaggeration but you get the idea).

    • +5

The RAA and Rewards cards don't normally stack.

  • +1

12c if you spend $5 in their store

    • +1

Thats not really a bargain though as the $5 spent in store probably negates the additional fuel saving.

      • +3

it was OK when they had the same $2 for 2litres of milk
        .

        • How much is milk now in the servo?
Last time I bought milk at Coles express, it was cheaper than in-store…2 for $6 (2 litre)

          • @Spending2Much: WW branded milk is very inflated, but the premium ones are only slightly more expensive.

Only EG Ampol stations accept both. Regular Ampol stations will only accept ERD for 4c off

    • According to the Ampol store locator, only ten out of 135 South Australian Ampol service stations not operated by EG accept the Woolworths fuel discount voucher.

      • I couldn't know. On the RAA website states 32 EG Ampol petrol stations in total.

        • The key point in my statement is Ampol service stations not operated by EG.

I did not count EG Ampol service stations in my statement above.

      • +3

Good to know. I just went to a non-EG Ampol and got the ERD but they refused my RAA… Made me assume all take ERD. Good to know that's not the case for some, saves me a moment of embarrassment and non-discount in the future! Cheers

        • +3

Don’t worry, you’re not the first person (or last person) who will think that all Ampol locations accept Woolworths fuel vouchers.

If you want to know about all the fuel discount offers at Ampol (or EG Ampol), have a look at the Fuel Discounts wiki.

        • I did the same thing too. There's not a lot of Ampol EG left in Adelaide.

Origin Energy also provides their customers a 4c discount at EG as well.
    https://www.originenergy.com.au/for-home/campaign/origin-fue…

Could you possibly get a 16c/litre discount if?

    4c for RAA
    4c for Origin
    4c for Everyday Rewards
4c for $5 instore purchase ($6 total if you max out at 150 litres)

    • +1

Even more!! 3% off EG Fuel Gift cards with RAA :)

      • … or you could go to an Ampol Foodary and purchase AmpolCash physical gift cards at a 5% discount, then use the AmpolCash physical gift card at EG Ampol.

      • If my calculations are correct, we could get the price of a $1.70/litre to about $1.50/litre with that… nice.

    • You can only stack RAA or Origin with WW rewards discount for a MAX of 8c off without instore purchase.. I asked if I could stack all 3 on Saturday just gone and was told this is the rule.

      • Can concur with my experiences, can only use RAA or Origin or EG Club but any of these three will then stack with Everyday rewards and instore purchase

  • Pretty sure that scanning rewards card does not give one discount, Unless they like spent heaps on their grocerry like gotten a fuel voucher added to rewards account and only then it adds that 4c otherwise, one can only really get 4c by RAA not 8c with RAA + ED rewards card.

Although I just go wherever is cheaper usually it is e10 @ liberty or u91 @ Mobil

    • Up to 8 cents off per litre

Simply show your RAA membership barcode to save 4 cents per litre, and your Everyday Rewards Card or Woolworths shopper docket to save an extra 4 cents per litre when you've spent $30 in a single transaction at Woolworths.

      • Yes but that 30$ doesn't include fuel yea ? or does it ?

        • According to RAA website when you spend $30 at Woolworths you get the fuel voucher from Woolworths which stacks with the RAA fuel voucher for the total of 8 cents off per litre.

        • +1

At EG Ampol, the only situations where you can claim a Woolworths fuel discount are:

          1. Spend $30 or more in one transaction at Woolworths (or Woolworths Metro, if you happen to be visiting a part of Australia with them) on eligible items (e.g. groceries) and scan an Everyday Rewards card during the transaction, then present the same Everyday Rewards card at EG Ampol before the fuel voucher from that transaction expires. This will appear on your receipt as a Woolworths Fuel eVoucher.

          2. Spend $30 or more in one transaction at Woolworths (or Woolworths Metro, if you happen to be visiting a part of Australia with them) on eligible items (e.g. groceries) and not scan an Everyday Rewards card, then surrender the paper fuel voucher from the bottom of the receipt at EG Ampol before it expires. This will appear as a Paper Fuel Discount.

          3. Present an Everyday Rewards card at EG Ampol and get an Offline Fuel Discount. (I think that only happens when the EG Ampol checkout system cannot communicate with Everyday Rewards to see whether you have a fuel discount on your account. Out of the 100+ times I have filled up at Woolworths Petrol / Caltex Woolworths / EG Ampol, it has only happened to me once.).

          4. The EG Ampol staff member punches in a Manual Fuel Discount.
(I had that happen once, because the staff member could not get the barcode scanner to scan the barcode on my paper fuel voucher.)

However, if you go to an Ampol that is not operated by EG and accepts a Woolworths fuel discount (and there are only ten in South Australia), I am not entirely sure whether you actually need a digital fuel voucher on the Everyday Rewards card to claim the discount.

I know in Tasmania, all five Ampol service stations that are not operated by EG and accept the Woolworths fuel discount only require you to present the Everyday Rewards card to claim the discount. There is no requirement to have a digital fuel voucher on the Everyday Rewards card, and even if you have a digital fuel voucher on there, it will not be redeemed from your account.

RACV has the same deal in Victoria.

Combine Woolworths discount, RACV discount, with vouchers from Woolworths mobile or corporate portal, and you get a discount of 8c + 3% off, with another 4c off if you spend on store.

The only crap thing is the fuel gift card you have to type into terminal with a queue forming behind you.

    • +1

The RACV deal is slightly different.

The issue with the RAA discount is that you cannot always stack it with a Woolworths fuel discount, which is the reason that this is listed as a time-limited deal. The RAA discount’s regular terms state that you cannot stack an RAA discount with a Woolworths fuel discount, but I have seen comments where stacking was okay regardless.

The situation with redeeming eGift Cards at EG Ampol is the reason that I switched to using AmpolCash physical gift cards. They should be 5% off at Ampol Foodary (and Ampol Woolworths MetroGo) at the moment, so it is a no-brainer for me.

      • I regularly get 6c off with RACV, including 2 fills last week. I thought you had the discount wrong so I checked your link and it's now dropped to 5c. Bugger.

  • when you put it like $0.04/L doesnt really sound as good as 4c/L
