Needing to upgrade my mum's iphone, and get her an apple watch (the one with the fall detection).
She currently has telstra broadband, and a telstra sim in her ipad.
Any suggestions on best provider combo?

yeah i figured i'd just stick with Telstra. I live out of the country now so not sure of how to bundle or ensure I don't overpay.
Happy to pay for handset upfront - don't love contracts > 12 months.
Plus you'll get more reward points, she has set up the rewards account hasn't she?
She appears to be reasonably affluent so why not stick with Telstra? I provide informal support to some retirees who live on the age pension - they get by fine with a single sim in their phone and everything else on wifi. The range of an Apple Watch on wifi is adequate to cover most suburban backyards.
The only thing that i’d personally consider is whether you want to be paying for an apple watch with cellular in it. If your mum will always have her phone with her, then it would be cheaper to buy a wifi only watch outright (telcos will only sell you the cellular model), although you might prefer the peace of mind that comes with having the cellular connection on the watch.
I reckon just stick with Telstra, you can get watch connectivity for $5/m with them, and then whatever phone plan. But if she’s not leaving the house without her phone, she could just do a watch without the connectivity. I reckon since she’s got a few devices you’d be able to ring up and ask for a decent bundle deal.
i tried all 3 providers with 5G, telstra, optus, and voda. telstra is the best. voda is the worst. optus is a little better then voda, but still sucks.
telstra is the best and the way to go. fastest speed after testing them in several areas. and telstra is most available where others have no connection.
Telstra has spoiled me with there huge coverage and fastest speed. i didn't have the patience to wait with optus slower speeds, and i don't even know how voda is still in business. i think voda stays in business because they usually have the cheapest phone deals with long plans.
How about Telstra? They'll charge a bit more but they will let you leave contract whenever you want. You could find all different providers and even move her board band and iPad data to other providers to save even more money, but at 60+ she might appreciate the simplicity and reliability of Telstra over saving a few bucks, unless she's particularly hard up for cash.
