    Mobile Broadband Speed Not Included.

    (Vodafone customer of 10+ years)

  • The RRP should be $29 by now imo

We are contracted to Vodafone for work and don't even use them.

not to mention the recent upgrades have been very poorly organised ( insider info )

Goes on sale quite often but is still good.

Not bad if you are desperate for cheap mobile broadband. Slow speeds ensure you'll never hit 3gb in under a week =p

  • does anyone know what model this usb modem is and whether it can be unlock? And if anyone know where to unlock (even if it's with a fee) that would much appreciated. I'm just looking for a usb modem and might buy an Optus sim card or so to use their network.

    Cheers.

    • If it's any help, I got this modem on spesh (same price) just before Xmas. Model # K3571-2 I'd be interested in a cheap unlock as well as vodafone want $25 online…… errata……. make that a K3571-Z (a 'zed', not a '2')

    NOTE:
Voda have started rolling out a new model of modem K3773 that uses the HiLink system without a dashboard and it cannot, so far, be easily unlocked for other providers.
Wise to check first before buying.

  • can these USB data sticks be used one after the other, or limited to one per account ?

the family goes to ballarat soon for several consecutive weekends and seeking a cheap, convenient way to have broadband access.

how many devices can be supported at once when using a 3G router ?

  • 3GB data is good, but 1 month before it expires is crap.
    still an alright deal

    • well its ok if you need the modem but the 3gb is on the starter sim which is about $8 on ebay

      • So, if I have a voda stick around, I can buy a new voda sim, shove it in and it'll work?

        • yes, as long as you activate it.

  • 3gb a month is just plain stingy. They and other telcos have been colluding with each other for years on what little the consumer gets. It's 2012 for pete's sake, a minimum of 5gb a month would be appropriate.

Thanks for the heads-up. These are good in an emergency and I keep loosing them.
