Looking to upgrade my current laptop and budget is around the $2-$2.k mark however am willing to stretch it a bit further if it's something that's really good value for money.
Examples of games I'd play: Star Wars Jedi Survivor, CIV VI, Last of Us I, Hogwarts Legacy, F1
I've currently landed around a few options:
I've read some pretty good reviews of the Legion series and this one falls right in my budget range and ticks a lot of the boxes (good amount of ports, solid build quality)
The downside to the Asus laptops for me personally is the lack of webcam which can be a bit of a pain when I need to take conference calls on the go. I know I can buy / bring an external webcam but it's just another hassle to deal with which makes me less inclined to go with this option.
Not that familiar with Gigabyte but I've read mixed reviews about them but keen to hear any thoughts on them as well.
Any other laptop recommendation around this price range? Max I'd be willing to stretch the budget to is probably around $2.4k

The laptops that you have suggested have limited GPU for the price. I have seen similar prices over the last two months for better GPU e.g. the aero I have seenfor $1900 with a 3070 ti.
Metabox has the Alpha-SR for around your prices (and you can ask for a slightly reduced price or free upgrades).
HP omen is another option
