Stock up Chocolates: When to Buy?

When is the best time to buy chocolates in bulk? I think I have noticed a pattern of massive sales after easter.

    Yes
    .

    • Hmm… More of a maybe for me.

  • I think Chocolate producers conned retailers with research showing a huge increase in spending on Easter this year.
Good for us as they will be clearing at 25% of RRP the huge glut .

Most of the Easter chocolate has already been 25-50% off. If you're not getting it at 50%+ after Easter, you're doing it wrong

At precisely 2pm on Easter Monday.

    • Can confirm. Am boofing a rabbit per minute from 2.15pm.

      • Why not just eat it?

  • Easter stuff was -20%-25% at Woollies close tonight. Sat morning at open will be your best bet. Big W and Colesworth are your bets.

    • 20% off only on Sat, maybe Sunday night would be the time.

Stocking up on chocolate is a bad move. They don’t last as long as you think before going weird. So you either eat too much too quickly or they go yuck. Either your tastebuds or your waist (or both) will suffer. Don’t do it unless you hate yourself.

When they go 75% off RRP ( some don't undrstand it's the same as 25% of RRP) .
Time to burst that waist line with a trolley full of quality eggs .
Stay away from that cheap imported crap . I wouldn't touch them at 90% off .

  • Whenever Lindt is half price at colesworth buy it.

    • We made the trek to the lindt 'outlet' store at Marsden Park only to buy the 100g gold bunnies for $6 each, which turned out to be the same price everyone would end up selling them leading up to this weekend.

      So 100g bunny @$6 = no deal
      Less than $6 = deal

So you've answered your own question?

Pretty obvious one to answer. Chocolate that is event specific, for example Easter and Christmas will be heavily discounted after those events because they want to clear the stock.

    • Would any lollipop type chocolates be on sale?
