Wyze Cameras Amazon or from There Site etc

WYZE Cam Pan v3 Indoor/Outdoor IP65 How are these compared to other wireless cams?
I’m looking for something that I can lay on something and zoom around the room to keep an eye on things and probably In a few areas of house.
Is there better out there I don’t want to fit walls etc or outside just inside only.
Going overseas for a month later in year even though house has alarm im worried in leaving it on and it goes off while away with nobody to deal with it.
Also house has cameras all around it but owners has never let use it either it’s a nightmare for owner to pass on to us to use or maybe not working but the deterrent is there to possibly make people go elsewhere.

I wanted someone like these I can place around house inside just to keep an eye on things while away I believe I can view this from my phone yes while away? And I believe recording to sd card also.
Does it trigger your phone to tell you something is going on ie someone is in house in real time etc.
Yes ideally being able to use owners outdoors cams would have been nice but not sure what the story is in them.

Has there been better deals on these as no immediate rush to get them if they’re on special sometime in very near future.
When it’s mention it comes now with au plug where do these come from why it comes with au plug.

I’m just curious if there is something better for similarly money or less.
Yes it not just be for our trip away but just good to have ongoing as well.

But something to just check on phone now and again and record and being able to place anywhere around inside house it main reasons.

Is it better to buy these direct or through Amazon as I read from comments elsewhere that direct they don’t honour returns under warranty but this was 2022 where as amazon are good for returns if they go faulty etc.

Do these come with au adapter regardless where you buy it from be in amazon or direct I do know direct has slight discount on these where Amazon does not.
Out of interest where do these get sent from direct from them..

I also am getting the pan v3 version probably two pack but I had an idea the older slightly cheaper v3 model was going to get this as handy to use with window mount near front door as can monitor who comes to front door not only that will help knowing when packages get delivered as im finding they are getting worse by not knocking at door.

Should I hold on for a deal does Amazon do deals on these as they are slightly more that direct at present

    I’m sure last time I looked the pan v3 cams was available directly from Amazon it seems to show from Wyze I take amazon sell these also or is it just through wyze?

    I don’t see the appeal from buying from Wyze on Amazon as the pan v3 cost more than through Wyze site even the Wayne v3 cam which I was going to use at front to get the window mount to stick on window even that’s more from Wyze on Amazon.

    Is it me and just selected items are only available through Amazon and sold by Amazon or are most sold by Wyze on Amazon the idea of buying from Amazon was easy returns but not if it comes from Wyze as be as well order from there site and save a little.

    I’m in no rush to get them and if often come up on deals even better but just not sure best method to buy them from.
    I’m sure Amazon have their own deals with discount cards etc but that’s probably for sold by Amazon only.

    I swear I seen the v3 psn ones sold by Amazon other day all I see is Wyze nobody else

    Did Amazon ever sell these cameras direct or was it always Wyze who sold and shipped?

    Is it best to buy from Amazon or from Wyze site?

    As I have read people like the returns with Amazon but then this is not sold directly by Amazon but Wyze on Amazon.

    Regardless where you buy from Wyze on Amazon or Wyze site do they come with au plugs.
    As descriptions on what I’m after yes on Amazon both cameras I’m after is but on Wyze site one camera says nothing.

    If came faulty or died not long after who best buy from? As said Wyze is the seller on Amazon.
    How long Is warranty for on these?

    Also I see Wyze are slightly less on there site than what they are asking on Amazon which temps me to buy from their own site.
    From there own site where are they being sent from?

      I started buying these back in 2021 when they were A$43.37 via Amazon. The v3 price is now $59.95 sold by and shipped from Amazon or you can purchase from Wyze Global - please also consider the Wyze Cam v3 Pro $99.99. Wyze Cam Pan v3 is currently on sale at Wyze Global for $69.99 free-shipped

        I know about their global store and there prices are slightly less due to a sale but i believe most buy from Amazon direct to get quicker and easy returns or if issues with them cameras.

        I’m just not sure if guaranteed the au plugs with them from Wyze site.
        Wyze site has everything I want at say $10 less than what is listed on Amazon so is very tempting.
        Where do they ship from Wyze site within au or elsewhere?

          Not sure, I but concur with silenthillrocks - if the same item is being sold at the same price go with Amazon for fast shipping and solid customer service. I can't see free shipping on a Pan v3 from Amazon at the moment but they're only charging $5.24. Unlikely you'll receive an incompatible power plug

      Amazon don’t sell them well yes but it’s sold by and shipped by Wyze? So that’s same as buying from tem on there website right?
      It’s just they cost less than amazon.

      Or do Amazon sometimes sell these on there own as does not show they do right now

        Amazon au usually sells them so it's delivered by Amazon sold by wyze. Must be out of stock ATM.

              @silenthillrocks: I’m after the pan version v3 and was after the v3 non pan as you describe but the limited edition in black.
              But both these are not available directly from Amazon just myze.
              I was even after the wall mount for the v3 non pan and that’s not even available from Amazon directly and crazy thing is Wyze as $4 more for it on Amazon vs Wyze site.
              The Wyze site has a deal on with the pan v3 edition pack of two save like $6 I think and they wall mount for the non v3 cam about $4 yrs all up only $10 saving.

              But as you say easy returns and quicker delivery if buying from Amazon.

              I thought I may have been seeing things and that the pan v3 was sold by Amazon then checked days later was not.

              So probably need to keep my eye on stocks.
              I’m just not sure if the wall mount thing and the non pan v3 is ever sold by Amazon or always Wyze

    Bloody hell that was a hard read. I'm not even sure what the questions are, they are scattered all over the place with no punctuation.

    But anyways:

    I have some Wyze cams (not PTZ). They are fine for what they are (interior cameras, good phone app interface, local MicroSD card storage as I am not paying a subscription). Very easy to set up. I have bought both directly from Wyze and via Amazon (US site).

    I would use them for short term low hassle deployments. If I wanted long term security cameras I'd get something else (properly enclosed, with powered ethernet connections instead of wifi/USB) and set up a dedicated server for storage.

      These will be fine for my needs and I move house now and again once I’m permanently somewhere then yes probably get something better and installed.

      This is more for a trip away and just regular monitoring if nobody at home.

      One i wanted to use more regularly was the non pan v3 cam with window mount and place it on a bedroom window facing the door so we can see who is at door and who has been post man etc.

        Yeah they will be fine for casual use. The Wyze cam phone app is pretty brilliant- very easy to use. Way more intuitive than dedicated video recorder software that is designed for server installation. Sitting inside a window is perfect, I would be iffy about mounting these outside (but maybe that would be okay, I have not tried).

    If you need rtsp, don't bother - the firmware is absolute shit. get a proper poe cam instead 😂

        real-time streaming protocol, for adding cameras into a proper hardware nvr (recorder). If you don't want to use their cloud service, and also don't want to record to micro sd, you absolutely need rtsp (& onvif preferably).

    I now finally received my 2x pan v3 cams and I got a non pan v3.
    I plan to set up in coming days when you’re formatting the Sandisk high endurance cards with a dsir camera is this any digital camera?
    As I will need to do this for two pan v3 cams, i believe non v3 does not need this done? Do I just insert a card into non v3 cam or does all cards need formatting if so what’s the process to formatting them.
    How do you know when a card is formatted or not?

    I own two Samsung pro endurance cards and two Sandisk high endurance cards any preference of card of these i should use?
    I will have two pan v3 cams and one non v3 pan.

    Am I right that the subscription is free for first 1 month im sure I read this somewhere as was thinking of using this while on an overseas trip and just cancel afterwards.
    With having the subscription does the footage store on sd as well as cloud or wherever it is?
    Does the cam give notifications live as it happens?

    Say we had power outage which does sometimes happen does cameras come back on or do they need to be switched on as will not have access to these for a while and was curious in these situations.

    Cards can be formatted in the Wyze app.
    You may prefer a Vacation Pass to a monthly plan.
    The cameras reboot after a power outage, but won't report anything while they're not powered. They do now offer a Battery Cam Pro.

      Format on their app? I thought some people had issues formatting with certain cards or cams and had to do so with a dsir camera not even sure the process of doing this.

      Vacation pass never heard of it and your link does not say much about it or what it is there offering gives three options.
