[VIC] $5 Bonus Cashback (Minimum $5 Spend) with First ShopBack Pay Transaction (New Customers Only) @ ShopBack

210
MELBOURNE5

This offer has previously been available in Sydney but now it's made it's way to Melbourne.

ShopBack Pay is now available at selected Melbourne cafes/restaurants where you scan a QR code at the register, pay for your transaction using the ShopBack app (you can put your ShopBack balance towards the payment), and then earn cashback (up to 30% depending on the business). You will need to make a subsequent visit to the business in the future to get your cashback for the previous visit "Confirmed" so it seems to act a bit like a loyalty scheme.

As part of the launch, you can get $5 bonus cashback with a $5.50 minimum spend when using ShopBack Pay for the first time. Enter the code MELBOURNE5 into your ShopBack App by pressing "Account" in the bottom right corner, then pressing "Promos", then "Enter Promo Code". It appears the $5 bonus applies at the time of purchase when you use ShopBack Pay for the first time.

  • Can I eat at Amazon?

  • Any one know eligible venues?

    • After you enter the promo code in the app, you can press the $5 off promo in the list, then press "See all outlets" next to where it says "Shop in-store". You can view them in a list or on a map.

  • I entered the promo code but it says "this promo is for selected customers only". Targeted?

    • Their eligibility states "Valid for new Melbourne Customers to ShopBack Pay only for single use (can be a current ShopBack customer)" so it seems anyone who hasn't used ShopBack Pay before should be eligible.

      • Oh I see. I visited Sydney last year and used shopback pay, and because I didn't go back to that cafe again, I didn't get the cashback in the end.
Now I also lose the $5 for Melbourne :(

Can I pay for petrol at BP Vermont South? Its howing 30% cashback

    • I did notice that on the map while browsing. Not sure if it's an error or genuine as 30% cashback on fuel is quite a decent offer! You might be able to sell the chopper!

T&C says it is only coffee that qualifies :(

I had another look and yep you're right. Very sneaky. And you can only have coffee in the transaction. Add any non-coffee item and no cashback is given!
