Looking to install Solar in a duplex. Just curious anyone installed recently and keen to share their experience.
What type of system you installed, would you recommend them, what has been the saving?
Our current bill around $500-$600 per quarter. This is with solar installed from 7+ years ago.

just say im happy, compared with my old one the panel tech has improving they can fit more cells in 1 panel i guess.
well just see my latest globird bill, (monthly bill so it was early feb to early march 2023)
solar panel generation = $81.57
one bill before that : $83.50
one bill before above: $121.14
plus the referral..
basically right now im at $300 credit (elec and gas combined)

only thing is that the quotes i looked at were in $8000-$9000. is that more 7-8kw as standard now?
@yjun355: well depending how big is your roof, mine is maxed out at 5kw no more space.
people say, put as much as you can… but hey im not installer dyo research
there are like 20 different panel brand plus 20 for inverter so each will have different price if you want ask for the same brand combo like mine to your supplier and see what is their price (mine $4,400 actually sorry forgot gst), if same or cheaper then they are okay, if they quote 5k then you know they are (probably) expensive.
also dont forget add the removal cost (of the old system)
@CyberMurning: i tried calling them and safety being on hold for ages, i have my number for call back. haven't heard since. it's been 2 days :).
also they seem to be energy company like alinta and not solar installation.. looks like they just outsource it to someone else.
what was your customer experience with them
@yjun355: yes they are energy provider i said install solar
and then pick a good provider which give high feed in for example globird.
they claimed to be australian owned, but there are references of chinese language in on the bill (ie, query by wechat).
so far i have no issue.
if you want provider that can install, go with the big ones. but their feed in rate arent good. also, its the same thing they will outsource their installation, it just save you time to look and book (but not sure if their price is competitive as the installer need to pay commission to the provider)
How much rebate is nsw gov giving?
dont know they take care of everything just pay out of pocket after rebate
Does NSW rebate apply for certain income bracket? Or for everyone?
