Manual Boot Open for Holden Captiva 2017

Hey guys my Holden captiva 2017 boot won’t open , my key does not have a boot open button , there is no key to manually open it , I can here a clicking noise when I push the boot button to open but the boot won’t open . Is there a manual way I can open this boot? Thanks

    Long shot but try pushing down on boot and releasing pressure, the same time as someone pushes the button.

    Could there be something in the boot catching on it? Can you drop the back seats and clear the boot and try again? There may also be an emergency release in there too, to stop kids shutting themselves in the boot

    Access the boot via the back seat. There should be a boot release inside the trunk?

    I would access the owners manual and see what it says about a manual release.

    Maybe the struts have lost pressure so not pushing the boot open when button is pressed. Try pulling on boot.

    If the boot not opening on a Captive is your only problem, submit your car to the Smithsonian.

    Any chance you may have googled how to open it before posting here? Not many ozbargainers will have set foot in a Captiva, or continued to own one for very long.
