  • ahh bugger, sold out already

I love the real vehicle but these non-flagship scale Technic automotive sets just look hideous.

They never have sufficient dimensions and piece counts to actually do justice to the cars they're trying to represent.

If this model was the same size as the Daytona SP3/Sian/Chiron, it would actually have a chance at looking like a decent recreation of the real thing.

    • Agreed, I actually thought this was the Classic GT40 I was looking at until I got to the rear. Took a lot of squinting to see that those gaps above the rear quarter panels (in those sort of tunnels) were even there

    • I wanted to buy this kit, until I saw it in person at the Lego store… it looks garbage. Just like the Ducati 1199 kit… the BMW kit looks awesome though.

Now, if this kit was done in the style of the Creator kits like the Z28 or Mustang, I would be all over it.

That BMW was one of the worst kits I have ever built though. Prepare to put your fingers through small holes and try to pinch something together blindly.

It does look great when finished though.

  • I would normally post another ozbargain post, but this price is close enough albeit a tiny bit cheaper at David Jones delivered ($149.25), plus a tiny bit back for Cashrewards.
