Was struggling for a gift idea around $50 mark and found this.
Over priced as a ballpoint pen? maybe.
But with a premium brand, a nice gift box with Made in France written in the box and high RRP ($134.95), making it a good gift option.

I think I paid ~$17 for a refill a few weeks ago. Had to go to a specialist place to get it. Probably cheaper online.
I have this pen with a different design from an old Peter's of Kensington deal. I really like it and prefer it over parker pens. That said, I barely use pens and would need to hunt for it.
Ballpoint pens are fine for a signature, but not great for extended writing. I much prefer a rollerball pen for most day-to-day writing, and in most scenarios, a fountain pen.
I have a Waterman pen and it is a pleasure to use.
