Best quilt? Is it worth paying for MiniJumbuk?

So I need a new quilt. Old one was minijumbuk and I admit it’s lasted me 10+ years but they are crazy expensive ($250+ even on 50% sale).

I’m a hot sleeper so I want something either 100% cotton fill or the coolest wool option.

I’ve seen way cheaper ($100-150 mark) random brands advertised at Harris Scarf and also at Pillow Talk. Example below.

What do the wise folk of OzBargain recommend? Is cost indicative of quality here?

Considering most people spend so much time percentage of life sleeping, imo it’s a no brainer to splash out for the best.

Love the minijumbuks, we have multiple sets for the family ranging from the everyday to the super warm ones. We also splashed out for the guests rooms too. Don’t often get guests but when we do we want to make sure they have a good sleep.

With complimentary KFC and XXXX on arrival to make sure they leave the next day.

      • If guests over it’s usually Korean fried chicken and soju cocktails actually

        I’m very multicultural

    Probably… $25/yr or $2/month . Seems worth it

  • Have two mini jumbuck wool duvets. One in king and one in queen, 5 and 10 years old. Always used with a waterproof protector and washed every few months. They are both in really good condition! Not worth cheap-ing out on other products IMO.

  • I've still got the myer private brand. 8 years strong.

  • I have always bought from https://www.aussiewoolcomfort.com.au/ when they have a 50% off sale. 8 years since the first one we bought and still going strong.

  • Ikea is my go-to. Good quality and bought my two-in-one quilt 5 years ago and it still looks like new.

Definitely worth the investment. I have slowly transitioned all the quilts in the house over to Mini JB - all have the cool quilt for summer and a warmer one for winter.

Whatever you decide on buying, the most important thing is to treat it well. Air it & expose it to sunlight regularly if you can.

  • I love mine!
