Was poking around Aliexpress and come across this - I've had exact same model for nearly 4 years in desktop setup paired with some nice old bookshelf speakers form verge collection…far better setup than budget logitech PC speakers…i paid $60 in 2020… a rarity that something is actually less expensive today!

It's a great little unit for the price and comes complete with bluetooth and a power supply and can be used as a DAC and headphone amp.

  • Not really my preference in the looks of it…

I use https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004699016045.html either mounted on a 18V 4Ah ozito battery (with 3D printed adaptor) to power it or plugged into a 24V PSU……and is much cheaper.

There are a heap of other similar cheap ones on Aliexpress, some that have SD card readers and USB in addition to BT.

    • What battery life do you get with the battery pack?

    • interesting unit…once you add power supply cost though you are getting closer to $40…the Douk Audio one looks nicer on a more modern desktop setup IMO…yours has a real steampunk vibe to it (which is cool too)

  • It depends how loud I crank it. Near full volume about an hour or so. At about a 1/3, 2-3 hours or more.

    • if you are looking for portability, i have used an older lepai 2020 class D amp which works well off a SLA 12v motorbike battery…goes plenty loud on generic bookshelfs or car speakers and lasts hours.

these are great little amps - mine resides in an outdoor projector setup

if the lepai dies, i might replace it with your board for an on mains power setup like this
