    I've been monitoring the price of this set for some time and must've missed the ATL mentioned. It seems doubtful it will reach that low again, unless it doesn't sell well enough

    Yup, and as people buy more discretionary items like LEGO, inflation keeps going up and interest rates along with it. I guess the people that can afford $500+ LEGO sets aren't affected by either.

    Typically with Lego and you go by the per-piece price. 10-14c per piece is usually pretty good. At this price I think it's ~ 12c per piece.

    Bear in mind also that this set will be huge and very detailed

    But yeah… Out of reach for most. Bit too expensive for me too!
