Looking for a Projector with ~2x Throw Ratio

I'm looking to upgrade my ~6 yr old cheap Chinese projector which sounds like a space ship taking off (has served me so well though!)

I want to locate mount the projector on a shelf on my back wall which means I need a 2x throw ratio or close to it. Ceiling doesn't work because of ceiling fan location (unless I ceiling mount one with ~0.5x throw which I am not super keen on because of effort and aesthetics).

I found an amazing spreadsheet in someone's forum reply but it looks like all the listed projects were 1-1.5x or there abouts. Googling isn't helping me much has anyone seen something they could suggest? Budget is about $500-$1,100 range.

I only ever watch tv at night so not so worried about daytime performance.

    You could probably reach out to Jayce Ooi (the guy that put together that spreadsheet) - and ask if he has any suggestions. If anyone knows the chinese projector market, its him.

    If you’re open to second hand stuff, the Epson 8000 or 9000 series would work. Probably only get Full HD though at that price.
