actually, that's realism.
The number of times I have seen Shell at 10 cents more than other local servos is just unreal. I hate the way they just suck the public in with these crappy 4c off deals.
I have found my local 7/11 to have prices cheaper than Shell after the discount!dito 7/11 always cheaper than Shell even with discount
Even with a 4c voucher I have a 46 litre tank giving me a massive $1.80 discount. I rather just go to which ever places is cheaper for my groceries AND my petrol.
Humans are fundamentally stupid, the fact that people vote and think they have choice is a perfect example of this.
Hurry before the accc cracks down on it and tells them to stop killing the little guy .
coincides with a 10c/lt increase in the last week! I'll shop at Woolworths out of spite.
Not on LPG. 57.9c/L last week, 57.9c/L now. Extra 4c off = 6.9% extra discount.
Go shop anywhere but Coolies if you want to spite them.
hope this is an Australia wide deal.
has anyone else noticed that there's no longer any steady price increase, now its just WAM 20c up,
One day its 129c and 12 hours later it can jump up to 146c, 148c ect…It used to be over a few days now it seems its hours.
Nah, it's been within a day or two for a while now, just look at the graphs, e.g. http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/860639 Servo owners can also see what their competitors are selling for and so raise their prices to not miss out on profits. And then there are the price monitoring sites. The Internet also reaches servo owners. :)
LOL have a look at the melb graph
They simply inflate the prices during these deals, how is it a bargain and why do people keep posting this crap???
plus they're already the most expensive on average.
I only buy specials at Coles and Woolworths, and only when it beats IGA and Foodland (there is no Aldi/Costco here). Inflated prices? Don't pay them.
Petrol in my area on thursday was $1.27 it's now as of friday $1.47! go figure..
This offer was released just as the trough of the cycle ended, at least here in Sydney. You can go figure whether this was deliberate or not. In any case you can wait another 10 days or so for the next trough.
gives them the opportunity to charge an extra 4c to those without vouchers… (yes i'm that pessimistic guy)
