Are they worth the extra money?
Will my smoothies taste better? Look better? Last longer?
Is the Breville Vac Q usable or hackable to use on any other makes and models of blender?

They are supposed to make the snoothies more nutritious by preventing oxidation.
If you want less oxidation you could just eat the stuff you're blending without blending it first.
Very true, i just find that very difficult because of digestive illnesses i have.
@bargain huntress: Well that's fair enough! I think then this might be a question for a qualified professional then. I'm assuming you have probably spoken to a nutrionionist of some description in the past, given your condition? Basically, vacuum blenders seem a bit snake-oily to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if they practically did very little.
@johnno07: Yeah that's a good point you are right i probably should go see one again and ask them if it is worth it. You would think they would know better than anyone.
Thanks!
Look better?
lol
You wouldn't drink 99% of smoothies based on appearance only
Well the added bonus of preventing oxidation is that they keep their bright colours.
Fruit based smoothies are sometimes bright but the vege ones are usually quite opaque looking however all depends on the ingredients. As long as they taste nice then all good.
I still use the Nutribullet & am unconvinced with the new & exxy vac range
Why do you think you need a vacuum blender?
