Have You Found The Good Guys Commercial to Be Cheaper?

I was looking at the EAP620HD TP Link Access Point, got access to GGC woohoo, it's more expensive… Have you found GGC to be cheaper?

I thought the whole point of GGC was to be much cheaper, otherwise what is the point of it?

  • It was cheaper for all the phones I looked at and that's all I looked at. Not by much. 5% maybe. I forget.

    • Just did a quick search, "S22 128GB Black", was $945 delivered on Amazon & $949 + $10 shipping on GGC. I guess it really depends what device & when on GGC.

      • I find people use GG Commercial because they feel like they are getting a good deal and like talking to real people when buying. And if it's basically as cheap as Amazon then it probably really is a good deal.

Not always. Sometimes it's the same price as their normal website and I think there's been once or twice where the GGC has even been slightly more - so always do your due diligence.

Got my printer from them a couple years ago for WAY cheaper than everywhere else.

Other products were same or sometimes even more exxy than elsewhere.

So as always, compare pricing on the item you're interested in, before purchase.

  • nearly every time i have checked its been cheaper on tggc

    examples

    wh1000xm5 (got 2 at $389)
shark pz1000 (havent bought as its a special order with a long lead time - dont remember but it was sub $490 shipped iirc)
vornado 633 dc (thinking about getting 2 more at $170)
random cooktop - just a cheapy one but was $60 cheaper than what it was listed for on the normal gg website

    • Yeah on quick glance the shark pz1000 is definitely cheaper, it might be the brand I am looking at such as TP-LINK that have less movement in price.

Edit: Scratch that, shipping is $150, making it much much more expensive.

i think when it comes to pc peripherals prob best to check out pc focused shops eg umart - sometimes stacking vouchers on ebay and getting it via sellers like computer alliance works out way cheaper than any option available through retail

        • Yes agreed, find eBay & it's deals to come out best most of the time, even with Jack getting in the way

  • I used ggc to price match the jb hifi salesmen in front of her, price matched so i could pay with discounted cards. Jb's "best price" was still $150 more than ggc for a samsung series 9 12kg washing machine

  • Westinghouse oven, stove and rangehood much cheaper on GGC than anywhere else - each by about $150-$200

  • TGGC = cheaper than TGG

Does not equate to TGGC cheaper than anything else. You still need to shop around instead of only relying on a single website.

  • Like JB Commercial, it's generally cheaper but not when another place may have the same thing on sale (or offering a discount coupon). It's useful when you need something and can't wait for a sale.

  • Most things I have found cheaper. Some things have been significantly cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

  • Most consumer electrics probably not worth the hassle, some whitegoods however can have significant discount, like those Schweigen rangehoods which can be 2/3 of the price of RRP and cheaper.
