DUAL170

Been looking for a solid electric standing desk and noticed Desky has their corner desks off by $170. Still debating if I should pull the trigger on this since its crazy expensive.

Seems to be till the end of March.

    $1649 to save a click

  • I got a Fortia corner standing desk on ebay for $800ish, pretty happy with it.

  • Price in title pls. Discounted by is misleading

  • Price in title please

  • Bought 2 of these early in the pandemic (a 180cm and a 150cm, not this corner one). Quality is really great and i swear by the adjustability for good ergonomics, even if you don't want to stand. The people behind the company seem like honest Queenslanders too.

Looks very similar. Single motor vs triple is one immediately obvious difference.

You can save hugely if you buy the legs elsewhere on their own and source your own tabletop. They're all made from the same ubiquitous motors and frameworks.

    • +1

True. My two-legged motor desk is leaning backwards a bit from the heavy monitor on an arm already (maybe a few degrees?) I'm sure a proper tabletop would make a huge difference, if not the 3rd leg would help more. Time to look into such option…

  • Desky did not post any black friday sale eh?

Recently bought two table tops + one dual motor frame from Ekkio on eBay with discount codes. Table tops comes with predrilled holes for matching frame, but both arrived with dents, seller compensated a small discount.
Very happy with the frame though, very very sturdy. Excellent value too.

    overprice

just get two normal desks stack it like this if you need corner desk

    • Stacking gets you that 130-300 cm height range not available with a single desk.

      • what you talking about?

if you need standing desk then get two standing desk
this one desk looks quite simplistic and overprice for what you get

rather use the money for other tech stuff.

I have a Desky, Really like it.

    • How long did you wait to receive your desk? Been hearing horror stories about the delivery times?

Guy at work is not happy:
Week 3 of waiting for an in stock item according to the website. After numerous enquiries Desky offered a $50 discount but no hard delivery date commitment
They also had to change the top from Jarra Legno to something else since that is also no longer available (Website still shows it is)
Desk dimensions had to change since Desky no longer offers a right short return (Also still showing as available on the website)

Dunno, seems like a hard pass despite the discount.

Avoid desky for the customer service.
Read the 1 star reviews - almost all say you may be waiting weeks or months for your order (assuming they actually send you what you ordered). Smarmy reps will make it very difficult to get any info or a refund. On top of all this, you're just overpaying for a chinese desk with desky branding (many others sell the same desks and often cheaper).

If you want to run the gauntlet, just get ready to hit them with a paypal dispute or credit card chargeback or you're out of luck.

    • Yeah. Starting to see red flags all over the show. Thanks for the warning!

  • What's an alternative company for a corner desk?

    • +1

Actually quite a few options such as:

      UpDown Pro (Looks amazing!)
      EverDesk
      Artiss
      Ikea - Bekant
Standesk Desk Converter - you get items from ErgoHuman etc as well but for the price, i find it hard to justify and I tested a few in store and they are wobbly af
