i think that would be a great general complaint line for the government, where you put in a complaint and it takes you to the correct channel…

If you have already tried to resolve the issue with My Muscle Chef and are still dissatisfied, you may consider lodging a complaint with the relevant consumer protection agency in your region or country. These agencies are usually responsible for regulating and enforcing consumer protection laws and regulations.
You can start by conducting an online search for the consumer protection agency in your area or country. Alternatively, you can contact your local government office or consumer affairs department for assistance in locating the appropriate authority.
When lodging a complaint, be sure to provide as much detail as possible about your experience, including any communication you have had with My Muscle Chef and the steps you have taken to try and resolve the issue. This will help the authority to investigate and address your complaint more effectively.
Remember, it is important to provide feedback about your experiences with businesses, both positive and negative, to help improve the quality of products and services provided to consumers.
this is it… though Fairtrading is fkn useless IMO.
You could also write negative google review / social media to get your point out. They may buckle to that pressure.
There isn't much more legal wise you could do - especially if we are talking about sub-$500 exposure. Just move on - not worth your worries IMO.
I understand your frustration with Fair Trading, but it's important to keep in mind that they are a regulatory body with limitations on what they can do. Writing a negative review on Google or social media can definitely bring attention to the issue and potentially get the company to resolve it. However, I would caution against exaggerating or making false claims in your review as that could lead to legal trouble for yourself.
While the amount of money at stake may be small, it's still important to hold companies accountable for their actions.
You're correct that fair trading is the place to lodge a complaint with but it'll take weeks, probably months, and best result is getting your money back which you'll achieve in days via a charge back.
The correct place to make a complaint is here, on Ozbargain…
Generally, we will listen and then rule on the validity of your complaint, and guide you to a specific place that will help.
Please, post it, let us know, at least so that we know if we should be dealing with My Muscle Chef…
