      But is #2 better (without being too many new rules or taking too long to play)?

      Money isn't a factor in this, I just didn't want to buy #1 and regret not having bought #2 (I got an order in before it was OOS)

        You won't regret not buying 2, 1 is fun enough as it is.

        Just don't buy 2 (or legacy) after owning 1, buy space base instead.

  The first edition of machi koro is good but must get the harbor+millionaire's row expansion pack. Pretty much doubles your spend on the board game but it's worth it for the extra cards that make it fun. It's boring without the expansion imo. There is only one website that has the online licence for this but it's painfully slow waiting for each player to take turns if they're randoms around the world in different time zones.. Wish they made an app where you could play by yourself against computers or something.

      I've only glossed over it once so can't comment too much about it, sorry. I think there are quite a few reviews online about the two though that may help more.

      *also have to specify that I have the 5th anniversary edition..
