Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 15 and the hinges are completely blown- no idea how, but the screen is now only connected to the keyboard via wires. I've re-wrapped the wires to give them a bit more oompf.
I've put some extras into the Dell and it's running pretty well, the lack of portability is its only issue. Is anyone aware of some maybe aftermarket hinges I could use to reattach the screen to the main body?

Yeah cheers, definitely a few people online who have had similar problems. I'll hit up the warranty team and see what they say, unfortunately I purchased in 2018 and they're pretty stringent against fixing things outside of warranty.
Look for dead ones on ebay.
Otherwise try and enforce your rights as a consumer to see if Dell will replace for free.

small cabinet hinges from Bunnings and some epoxy may work as a last resort.
May also act as a thief deterrent
I think thieves these days steer away from laptops. Got burgled recently and they left this inspiron (back when it even had hinges!) as well as my partners macbook air.
Just had our sons ones on this model replaced by Dell under warranty. Seems like a design issue. The ones they replaced with are a different design and seem more sturdy.
