Hi, can you please address these concerns at the bottom of this deal
(http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76089)in regards to possible counterfeit SD cards being supplied from Shopping Square?

        Thanks

        • I hadn't seen that before, curious how it wasn't addressed by the rep (just noticed they didn't post the deal nor participate in it). Perhaps now they can do so.

Would be good to hear from those that claim to have received fake products to see how things turned out.

      • Interestingly phrased answer about the stock danilochan. I think you're trying to imply that it's genuine Sandisk Australia stock, which I highly doubt. By the way, we are indeed all still waiting for a considered response to diamondtouch1's question above, and I'm sure he will reference the relevant Ozbargain node in all Shoppingsquare's future posts until such time as you do.

Up to 30MB/sec read speed; write speed lower

Thanks Op. Just bought one. Let see how it goes.

  • usual rate from China appears around 15 AUD. if you are able to save me waiting until weekend to order one, I'd rather deal with a local operator.

I should also ask, has anybody tested speeds with those ^^cheapies I post?

  • is there any difference with samsung branded class 10 microsd?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Genuine-micro-SD-16GB-SDH…

    • Samsung appears to be a risk case for a very mediocre Random 4k Write (QD=1) =0.798 MB/s, citing benchmark compiled 2012 result by stumo. Other cards seem to do 1.5 - 2 MB/s.

The 32GB micro I linked from eBay, 'MB-MSBGA': I don't know if this would benchmark the same, or an improved result, compared with the six months dated - Q112 - one assessed above.

Samsung quotes on its product page the sequential perf. of model MB-MSBGA being.
24 MB/s read speed performance 13 MB/s write speed performance

To me this sounds absolutely fine, although I am not quite as certain about the random 4k Write. I suspect such a thing could put a dent in performance. These are, however, both reputable brands.
