Hello!
Not sure if this is the right place to post. Let me know if this needs to move elsewhere.
Current setup: I use a seedbox storage to manage my entertainment and only FTP the ones I want to keep for offline usage. Usually stream from the seedbox storage with Plex, and use VLC for offline. I'm all sorted at home, just need something to travel with.
Sure, using laptop and hdmi to the hotel's TV also works. I'm hoping to use something more straight forward and portable.
I've looked into Google 4k TV and Amazon Firestick, as they seem to be the most portable ones. I also have an Android phone so casting is easier with Google, but would prefer if the device has a native app. Heard that Firestick can sideload Plex app but not Google?
Ideally, Roku seems to be the best out of all the options I've seen, but sounds like it's a little annoying to register with Roku from Australia.
What would you suggest?
Don't get Firestick it's 100% the worst mainstream device.
