The camels reckon this is the best price yet. For once this is coming directly from Amazon AU.
A few different variants so I hope I chose the correct one. The barcode matches with this set at Total Tools. The are selling it for $297.

That is an amazing price, and the exact kit I was wanting to order (for Motorcycle maintenance). OP, you win the internet - thank you for you post!
Damn OOS?
Annndd it's gone
Can’t tell if missed out or saved money. Feel like a ratchet should be 3/8 or larger.
oos ?
Don't know if they had many to start with. If you looked at the camels' history the price was going lower and lower over time. Maybe they were just sitting on some and kept on reducing them to clear them or something? I've been watching the price over quite a while and debating whether or not to post. Honestly a little bit surprised noone else has posted this since Wera seems to be very popular around here.
Edit: There was no indication that they had a limit at time of post though. Limit was 5 in the cart though.
omg was about to but it dissapeared why??? Only 45mins available?
Amazon deals all over - stock levels are a mystery.
Great price for a great set sub $100!
Managed to grab one but probably will cancel it as I don't have any motorcycle.
If you're around melbourne hit me up!
sent you a pm on this mate
Why do these wera/knipex deals always end within an hour? They simply must just be in such low quantities I guess. Or is Amazon messing with us?
I'm guessing it's Amazon's pricing algorithm - the sudden influx of clicks makes it stop sales as the price may be to good/error.
This is bait and switch in action - a good price for a small number of units generates excitement and a mental decision to buy. Then you jack up the price and hopefully people will still purchase due to their cognitive commitment.
I bought the 3/8 kit for $148, and that lasted for a full day. So my guess is low stock.
Wera did all the stock go?
Sidchrome Nano and Milwaukee are similar but better in my experience.
I keep a small hex extension in my sidchrome Nano and Milwaukee
I wouldn't buy a set again without a 14mm socket included.
Wera are good and part of one of my kits but the bahco deep socket, sidchrome Nano and Milwaukee I've doubled up on. The wera just didnt get used.
Edit. I remember now, the ratchet is too bulky for tight areas. Bosch make a good kit which has up to 13mm and it's about $30. It's paid for itself in time saved as a stubby screwdriver wouldn't come close to reaching a Phillips head screw on a particular set of control panels I encountered.
could you share links to the sets you recommend mate? Looking for a lightweight small set. One set for my tool backpack and one for main tool set
Hey sorry, I replied to the main thread. The links are in my comment below this one! Must've been half asleep still!
Sidchrome Nano $79 @ Sydney tools
https://sydneytools.com.au/product/sidchrome-scmt12120-38pce…
Milwaukee 1/4 socket set $105
https://sydneytools.com.au/product/milwaukee-48229599-38pce-…
Bosch mini socket set $30.25 @ Amazon
https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-2607017160-Screwdriver-RATCH…
I think most of them can be found on eBay…
The bahco set is from a larger $300 but is very handy. Has two extension bars and the screwdriver has an adaptor at the top so you can use it as a 3rd extension OR as a t-handle driver for 1/4in sockets
I'll try and find it in a separate kit though. I'd love a 2nd set for the car/home so I can leave it at work
It's like this one
Bunnings has them on clearance in every store for $77.50 or close to, not $89
https://www.bunnings.com.au/1-4-and-3-8-square-drive-socket-…
But with these deep sockets

Deeper into the Wera rabbit hole i go..
