  • How often do you have to change filters

    • +1

"Filter life varies based on run time and existing air conditions. It is recommended to replace both the HEPA and activated carbon filters once every six months. It is also recommended to occasionally vacuum the fabric front panel to remove dust." - User Manual

      • Thanks, was hoping it would be the same as Daikin

        • Having bought the Daikin a week ago I was hoping it wasn't. =)

          • @the discombobulated panda: How are you finding the Daikin?

            • +1

@spiderbite88: Pretty good. Had it for a week. Haven't turned it off since I got it.

Silent when it has nothing much to do, not annoying when it detects it should be doing something more. I'm pretty sensitive to fan noise so this is my #1 filter (cough) for such products.

It appears to have reduced the amount of dust in the room (I leave the window open) which is the big thing I got it for.

  • Noise level: 37-59 dBa

Was worried that I had made a bad purchase recently but given the above that worry is gone and I'm, again, quite happy with my Daikin and its 19dBa minimum.

    • +1

Could be good in the babies room. White noise and clean air in one haha

      This one doesn't produce Ozone.

    Who needs these air purifiers?

    • +3

I am on the hunt for one before the next bushfire season. Not sure if you remember what it was like a few years ago but the air was rancid for weeks.

      • +1

        Masks too

    • +2

Primarily as a dust filter. I have the window open and my laptop screen used to get covered with enough dust to be annoying after a few days.

That appears to have stopped after I got my Daikin. Still some dust but nothing like before.

      • Can you tell a room is purified or not in normal day to day scenarios?

        • I use the room daily so hard to tell on that score (the effect is subtle and my nose gets used to it I'd say).

When I was AFK I could tell it was different. When my brother sprayed aeroguard near the back door the whole house smelled of it except this one room (both window and door open so it would be copping the odour).

I'll give the room a thorough dusting soon and see how that goes.

So far not regretting the purchase.

Wendy, the lady who works in my office has horrible flatulence. She just farts all day and the smell is hard to bare… The boss purchased a Samsung Air Purifier and put it next to her desk, but also gave her a charcoal-infused cushion… Apart from the sounds, you wouldn't even know.

      • +2

I can’t believe this is real, but it’s hilarious!

        • +1

It's all too real, but certainly makes me a big fan of keeping air quality high in homes.

      • +1

And yet, Wendy still enjoys her daily bean burrito and milkshake lunch …

  • So, the Daikin is safe with its ozone matter?

  • Anyone know the price of the filters?

  • How do you get the 10% discount?

    • +1

When you goto the webside, Clean Up Club membership will pop up, just enter your name and email, discount code will email to you.

      • Do you have the code?

I signed up and they just emailed me marketing email with no code.

        • Close the clean up club pop up window then another window with 10% off will pop up

  • Wanting one of these mainly for dust reduction. Is this the sweet spot for price / effectiveness? Seems hard to beat.

The Daikin Air Purifier MC40 includes a sleep mode function that reduces noise and energy consumption and an air quality indicator that displays the air quality level in the room.
