      with the ill behaviour

Only legal in ACT, QLD, NT and WA.

    • It's suprisingly difficult to find information on it but I believe they are illegal in the ACT. Happy to be corrected.

      • Yeah, I thought I read something a while ago saying that it's only legal in QLD

    • +4

      Not legal in WA

      • Yeah, didn't think was legal in WA. I've got one buried in the back room with the rest of the junk, apparently I have to hand it in to police or destroy it….or face fines if caught

    • NOT legal in the ACT, can assure..

  • Ohhhhh! Why do i live in NSW!!!!!!

    • for the culture?

      • +4

and the ever increasing electricity, rent, mortgage, food, petrol, everything

    • Blah blah blah Sydney Harbour is blah blah blah?

    • +3

Is it for the rampant corruption?

  • +1

looks fun but i think these require friends

    • +3

      You mean targets?
      .

    • +1

back when these weren't illegal in WA, i'd use empty drink cans to plink at. great, simple fun that some useless bogans toting blasters in public ruined for us.

      • +1

i think my elderly neighbour would have a heart attack if she saw me doing target practice in the backyard 🤣

        • i never used mine outside. would only plink indoors at various cans around the house.
i also never carried a nerf gun out in public, even if they were more socially acceptable. always went in a bag, disassembled to fit if necessary.

  • The manual operated ones are banned in NSW which makes no sense considering that nerf guns are legal.

I wish they would classify these the same way as paintball guns , its such a fun sport.

    • +1

If only. Nanny state with too much police influence in policy.

      • Unfortunately, they are banned as some are so realistic looking, and can be used to intimidate people.

        • That's the public excuse, its not the reason. My feeling is that nanny state policies perpetuate stupudity and just further fool people into feeling like they need to be coddled. Its a vicious cycle.

    Takes day trip to Canberra.

    Comes back interstate arms dealer.

    Hard pass, sorry. <3

  • These are quite pricey.. How powerful are they on a scale of 1 being nerf and 10 being a bb/airsoft gun. How are they different to the ones on ebay.

    • i'd rate the hopper/gravity-feed type blasters from 4 to 6 as the quality varies quite a lot. the mag-fed ones are a bit more powerful but again, varies on specs. then there's the array of mods (batteries, barrels, springs, motors/gearboxes) you can do to increase fps.

  • +3

Seriously folks, do not get these unless you are 110% sure they are legal in your state.

If not, you will be charged as it if it was a real firearm and will be in a world of hurt.

    • +1

Do domestic packages get scanned? I guess the only way you will get caught is if you act like a knob and wave it around in public….

      • Yeah pretty much only buy it if you have a decent bit of land.

      • You buy it, you play around for a bit, you take it outside because you decide you want to shoot a pesky pigeon, your neighbour sees a gun, calls the police, the police come in, you go to jail

        • Paint or tape it up a bit with some fluro colours helps reduce that chance. Its a toy, no harm ensuring its more easily recognisable as one.

          • @Xizor: sadly, it doesn't matter if you paint it up to make it look less "scary". if someone sees/hears you with one and the police get involved, the odds really aren't in your favour if it's been declared illegal in your state. just not worth the risk, i'm afraid

            • @tdw: Yes mate of course, law is the law regardless of how idiotic it is. Fact is they are around though in every state. What i am saying is less chance of someone thinking twice or being concerned if it looks like the toy it actually is. And if you get busted it won't be fun.

              • @Xizor: it's relying on people having enough sense to see it as a toy. sorry to say i don't have as much faith in humanity ;)

                • @tdw: Yep true, best negate that best once can.

    From experience

    no deal
prices are jacked by 50% meaning the discount is still RRP or higher
this seems to be their 2nd or 3rd closing down sale
they have a habit of accepting your $$ and never sending the goods and ghosting you
better deals at almost all other stores
    avoid

    • Yeh just saw on their fb page that people are saying they jack it up by 50% then offer a discount…. Also some people haven't received anything.. Best to stay away from this store, it's closing for a reason no need to gamble with your money.

  • -1

I know people in VIC who have bought from this store and not had issues. Prices don't seem higher than the other stores, the discount seems legit?

Discounted by 50%, the renegade one is $150 v. $245 for the x-forcetactical one, so renegade are still cheaper?

        • +1

nice site edit….. i don't know if you're associated and playing games but the website was edited for this item to now be cheaper… at the time of my posting it was not! Anyway i've posted my warnings, i'll leave it at that.

          • @Khunaus: True,
Yesterday it was "50% OFF EVERYTHING" and today it`s "EXCLUDING GAS/METAL CATEGORY" :) LoL

  • +1

Postage $30 kills it for me

    • +1

it's not uncommon seeing as most blasters are packaged in huge boxes and small businesses don't get as good prices on shipping as larger volume sellers.

      • +1

Quoted $18.95 for standard post of a 250g sight. Seems a big markup.

        • for small accessories, definitely.

        • Ridiculous postage fees. Think the other comment about this company is true, inflated prices and third time he has had a closing down sale

  • +2

Applied the coupon to mo5k earlier today, came back just now to find the coupon removed and no longer applicable. Dodgy dodgy guys.

  • +1

Any other reputable gel blaster retailers? I'm kinda sus on these guys from the reviews online…

    • Tactical Edge Hobbies should be reputable,
