Auspost - No Label Amazon Return: Do I Need to Package My Own Return?

It's the first time I'm returning an item to Amazon because it is faulty.

I have opted for the method of a No Label dropoff, which means I don't have to print the label when sending it back.
However, no where on the Amazon website does it say if I need to package my product.

In short the question is: Do I need to package my return on top of the original packaging for the product?

Is it fine if I use the same packaging the product came in (the amazon box).

Has it passed 30 minutes from the time the return is generated? I read on return page that this could be the case.

Yes. And you also need to transport the package to the Aus Post branch.

And then take it inside and give it to the nice person. Don’t forget that

        But turn it off first.

There are no nice people at the post office though? 🤔

  • does anyone know what the criteria is for amazon sometimes saying "no need to return the item" vs "need to return the item"??

bought some books last week for a birthday present, and they didn't arrive in time. So i wanted to return them. Then when i did the return request, it said you do not need to return them to us (value was about $40)
