Good price for a great seat.

Do note though that I believe the TEX version is better than the + version sold in baby bunting. The + series of Britax baby seats seem to be just a nicer-looking version to the base version (eg nicer stitching) exclusive to babybunting to avoid price matches, while the TEX series features a liquid barrier material to resist stains and moisture which the + series does not have.

    • Agreed - the water proof material has saved us from so many spills and wees

  • Is also the same price on the Baby Bunting website. I wonder if the Bababy Bunting eBay store is apart of the Afterpay deal starting tomorrow.

    • I was tracking a baby seat for half a year and their eBay store never had a code that worked

  • Anyone got a good seat recommendation for a new born to 4 year for $350 or less? Britax graphene seems to be very popular but its expensive at $499. Thanks !

had one of those bought around 350ishm
the head cusion is too tight for the kid
I consider good price if its from the birth to seven
after I don't think its needed anymore

    • This is a completely different car seat. They have many makes and models and unless you compare one years version to the next any comparisons do not help. This is a 1 year to 8 year seat.

  • This is a great seat. My son is a taller toddler and the seat itself is a little larger so his feet are not dangling too much and his legs don't get sore sitting for long periods in it. Looks great, east to install. Highly recommend.

The Clicktight system is utter garbage, get isofix if you can. We ended up getting a warranty swap over because we couldn't remove the Clicktight version from the car, and ended up damaging the seat in the process. The person at Baby Bunting we dealt with also echoed our concerns and told me they had another customer who ended up cutting the seat belt to remove their seat. The store also said they get so many complaints about the system now that they actively don't recommend it.

Edit: this is the version we now have: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224452492937

I'm this close to purchasing, but your review is stopping me. We love isofix too. The problem is that apparently they don't use that system in seats for ages over 4?

We have a 2 year old and another on the way which is why we're in the market for a 2nd seat. The one we currently have is a Britax with isofix (which new baby will inherit). But trying to find a good one for our 2 year old that will grow with him in the long term. So confused, the belt path ones just don't seem as secure as isofix but these clicktight ones seemed better…

I don't think you can get a car seat that grows with a child from under 4 to over 4. When they are 4 they move to a booster seat where they use the car seat belt as a restraint across their chest, like we do as adults. That said I'm not sure why isofix won't go over 4 years old as it seems like it would still be beneficial as an additional anchor.

        • This car seat says it is 1-8 years, are you saying that is incorrect? I currently have the seat you linked in your original comment but I am looking for a second car seat as we have another on the way.

          • @Nickools: You are right! That's interesting, Clicktight must be rated to 8 years, isofix is only to 4

That said I'm not sure how an 8 year would go fitting in the seat, my 3.5 year old already looks like he takes up most of it

There is not a single child car seat in Australia which is approved for isofix for children over the age of 4. Good to know about issues with the clicktight though.

  • Best to try and stack with Baby gift card when itd 15% off

  • Was the Afterpay code able to applied for a further saving?
