Viomi S9 UV Robot Vacuum Battery Pack $59.95 Delivered @ Panmi

130
S9UVKICK

User HanaLF pm replied my message to them to request what the ruling was regarding warranty and acl coverage on Viomi s9 and its battery on my less than 2 year old (and very sparingly used) viomi s9 uv. They replied that they now have authentic battery in stock and offered a code to take $50 off the list price.

Apparently Viomi battery issue problem is very common - I emailed Panmi service and lodged a case but got no reply.

Hope this post helps others with same battery issue as I’m sure there is a decent amount of ozbargain members with this robot vaccum.

Lastly, Checkout process is not very intuitive, have to hit the black checkout button then you can add code.

Seems very common. Happened to mine before I returned it. It's worth trying a new battery for anyone experiencing the robot just dying mid-clean, even when it reports battery remaining.

It is incredibly frustrating when experiencing the low battery-recharge issue, where the robot has not been programmed to wait till full charge before attempting, and still no fw update to address.

    Wow - Thanks OP!

I was looking to buy the battery from AliExpress. This is even quicker than AliExpress.
I still love my S9 vacuum, but the battery has been a hit and miss at charging to 100% (sometimes to 90% and stays there).

  • I paid $60 for 13500mah replacement battery on ali.. way longer lasting then original

    • @XucCac Can you share link please? Thanks!

      • +2

Cant share link.it auto deletes… but ìf u go on aliexpress search:

Original LOSONCOER 13500mAh Battery For Xiaomi Viomi S9 Robot Vacuum Cleaner Accessories Spare Parts Charging Battery

        From original LOSONCOER store/seller

        Price has gone up!

It pop up as $47.30USD ($57USD/$85AUD includes tax + shipping) .. back then i paid $38USD ($57AUD) includes suipping + tax.

        • Stupid ozb
          Haha thanks mate!!!!

        • I couldn't find it searching in aliexpress in the web browser, but opened the aliexpress app on my phone and found it. cheers!

          • @salem: got the new battery, it's working great.

pulled the old battery apart, and put the individual cells (8 of them, 18650 type) into my battery charger and found that some were fully charged, and some were not charged at all, which could explain the weird charge/discharge activity and it running low, returning to dock to charge, and not staying charging long enough mid-clean before heading out again and running low again.

I think the charging circuit might be pretty shoddy (the cells themselves were samsung) and not balancing the charging across the cells.

The discharged ones charged up fine, but all I have tested actually using them with is a torch.

  • Thank you OP! I've just grabbed one. My battery has been going from 100% to 0% in less than a minute the past 2 months and I've only owned it for a little over a year now. Bought a replacement on Aliexpress (For about $40) but they haven't shipped it yet since last week

  • Does it fit for s9 non UV?Battery model number is different in the picture.

What's the ACL ruling? I ordered a BYD battery from Dick Smith for $37 delivered. Almost certain it's the same OEM battery as my brother got one for his Kogan robot vacuum and it was identical to my S9 one. Free delivery for Kogan First members via Dick Smith. For some reason not available via Kogan at the moment.

Panmi and Viomi are dodgy fks. Just like the Trouver mob selling landfill.
    • I missed have missed the drama with trouver - who or what happened?

      • +1

Trouver stick vacuums were $99 delivered but had batteries that lasted 6months or so. Impossible to claim warranty and replacement batteries cost more than the whole unit. Landfill.

Why would you buy an Official battery when their batteries have issues?
I've had mine die within a year - bought the LOSONCOER battery XucCac posted above and it has been working great.

  • Bought my s9 from the deal back in end of 2021 and also having battery issues. Will try this to see if this fixes things

  • Does anyone also have charging dock issues? Mine stopped working after 1 year use.

    • yeah I did. Sent it in for warranty and they replaced the battery. Seems to working fine now. Battery issues started at about 10 months. But I use it nearly every day.

      • It’s my charging dock stopped working. The light won’t lit up and the vacuum couldn’t find its home after its last cleaning. It’s out of warranty now. Where can I get it repaired.

        • I had the same issue. I thought it was a docking issue too, but they told me they just replaced the battery. Not sure where you can get it repaired. Maybe send an email to panmi and see if they can help. I would expect it to last longer than 12 months.

@Mr2gt: Seriously fk Panmi. Lodged a service case, no reply. Doesn’t reply emails. Doesn’t reply pm with a proper answer.

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Have you lodged an ACCC and Consumer Affairs (for your state) complaint?

              • @kwchaz: No I paid for a new battery (as per this post). Such a cop out. The Panmi rep just dodged my questioning and came back with buy a new battery.

          @Bob Lou

Would be Trendya as they're the only repairer for Viomi vacuums in Australia. You lodge the rma ticket, it'll get assessed as out of warranty, and you'll be charged for it.

Depending how much you pay for it, might be worth pushing Panmi RE your ACL rights, they'll say you don't have any (if you get any reply), then go lodge a complaint with ACCC and your state Consumer Affairs.

  • Has anyone found replacement motor for s9? Mine died a month ago. Opened it up, but couldn't find that model on Google or AliExpress.
