Thanks OP, this is the only stuff I’ve found that works

    • +3

Have you tried Sebitar or one of the other medicated ones that has coal tar?

    • +1

Well said. No other dandruff shampoo works as good as this one. Surprisingly this doesn't irritate the scalp skin either.

Remeber buying this for $2.50 last year.

    Still have one left

    • This type or the other tgel?

    • Where/how?? I've never seen it below abotu this price. Aldi sold double packs pretty cheap a while back too.

      • -1

        I think it was this

        • +2

Oh yeah that one is garbage, that's a totally different product.

          • -1

@Iggemo: Works for me. Not garbage.
Havent had dandruff for ages and switched to this from H&S

            • @easternculture: I think that one is chemically similar to h and shoulders, personally I'm never going back

              • @DaTa: The cheaper Tgel is working for me.
                No need to spend more

Never heard of this product before. Thanks OP. I shall give it a try.

This stuff works great if you need medicated shampoo - don't use this if you don't actually need medicated shampoo though. Make sure to read the warnings, don't let sunlight hit your head for 24 hours after using it, etc.

    • +7

wow I've been using it incorrectly for years

    • +3

don't let sunlight hit your head for 24 hours after using it

So that's what that smell is…

  • +2

Good find - pretty much always full price at Woolworths. The other one (T gel daily control 2 in 1) goes on sale, but it's not as good

    • +1

It doesn't even have coal tar which is the whole point so yeah it's chalk and cheese.

  • +2

Tgel stands for Tyre gel because that's what it smells like. But works well!

    • -1

Yes, it's a beautiful manly smell. Oh, and by the way, T stands for "testosterone".

  • +1

Thx OP. Smells bad but works very well.

I still have two bottles left from the Aldi sale. This stuff lasts a long time.

    • I just buy enough Aldi twin packs now to last me between special buys

      • +1

I ordered some of this Amazon ones just in case. May as well stock up well in advance.

  • +2

Best I've ever seen was $6.50 when it was half price at CW. But that was before the inflation hit.
6.75 is awesome. Thank you OP.

  • +1

No S&S option i have many products in S&S on amazon, bought it for $7.50

  • Decent price even without S&S.. not often at half price.

  • +1

This stuff works great - does stink as other posters have mentioned, and leaves your hair feeling a little gross. They used to make a conditioner but it's been discontinued. I use a normal conditioner after I use this to overcome some of the gross/squeegy feeling it leaves.

    • +4

      I like the medicinal smell

  • It's $32 now, any promo code?

    • Check again, was just able to grab some. Not shipping til April though.

  • showing as $9

  • have you seen the ingredients in this stuff?

    Contains coal tar.

To date, studies fail to show an increased risk of cancer in people who use coal tar to treat psoriasis or atopic dermatitis (eczema).

    • So what's the problem ?

      • Cancer?

        • fail to show

          • @follow: No cancer?

Not good for pfizer ceo and shareholders

            • @easternculture: In animal studies, coal tar has been shown to increase the chance of skin cancer.

              • @johnfuller: Good news for pfizer shareholder

In other news, Pfizer CEO places bid to buy Neutrogena T/Gel facility

              • @johnfuller: But you just said

studies fail to show an increased risk of cancer in

                Which is it 😁

                • @Nom: aad.org quote human studies that it failed to show but animal studies it causes cancer, so i think its just a cover up to protect the big brands ..
