According to this you won't get Star Wars: Jedi Survivor for the 7600. They're only participating with the 4 7000X models.

      • But the AMD website does have the 7600 marked as eligible, and Shopping Express as one of the eligible retailers. Hmm not sure who to trust.

        • You can message the Rep https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/52003 via Private messaging. They're usually online quite often and often get users to post deals for them.

        • I am guessing Shopping Express has not updated the graphic since the non X releases.

      • I have a 7600 and received my code no problem

as a lay person thinking of building a new PC with brand name parts (nothing special, just not generic/random that you get with a pre-built) are these any good together and good value? I have patience, but would like to build in the first half of this year

    • +2

I would say it is a pretty good deal on the market. All the bundled components are proper, this Gigabyte motherboard comes with 3x M.2 slots and AX210 WiFi6e, unlike other cheap motherboard only comes with 2x M.2 slots. The DDR5 RAM is 5600Hz CL36 and named brand.

      • +1

The mobo is actually very nice. But the RAM is a bit let down. 7600 is user requirement, I would go with 7700 if I am spending this much.

If you are happy to wait for the end of first half of the year then I would say HODL. RAM prices will still drop a bit, CPUs will have a small drop too due to the 7800X3D pressure and there will be cheaper MB on the market by then (with less features but hopefully this creates more pressure on discount prices for the mid-range stuff). I reckon you could get at least $100 cheaper on this combo by then or get a more future proof CPU or better RAM (6000/CL30)

  • Motherboards are so expensive now.
I feel this deal is a bit meh, but in this market…….

  • Good deal!

i have this motherboard and its been great - unlike other boards it boots fast, good memory compatibility and features.
Had the 7600 in another build and it ran perfectly.

Not aware of this specific ram, but you want to get stuff that uses Hynix chips so you can run at 6000mhz CL30 for best gaming performance.
If not squeezing out every last drop then its no biggie.

Yes prices will drop a bit in the future, but a good combo for the now.

  • 10 units, these will be gone in about -3 seconds after it goes live. (Especially considering you can add to cart beforehand)

Also to note, this appears to add a free $30 netflix gift card as well.

Edit: Wait, you can already add to cart for $746 + shipping… I wonder if that would checkout properly. Lol.

cpu's on par if not better than a non-OC 13600k in gaming (but will lose quite a bit after OC vs 13600k).
Gigabyte mobo is about the best brand in DDR5 Memory timing tuning too which is nice.

however this corsair ram is almost certain to be a Samsung IC..
    nah thanks…

  • shows $846 for me

This RAM is garbage for AMD build, good luck getting it to run 5600Mhz through DOCP/EXPO. Samsung IC is garbage for even advertised overclock speed over stock run 4800Mhz. DDR5 is very unstable.

    • I have this ram and it works just fine in XMP with AMD build

      • What CPU + MOBO? You are lucky because if you spend a few minutes doing a google search on Corsair DDR5 RAM and DOCP/EXPO, there are 100s of threads with issues especially with the ASUS boards. I also had this RAM and it wasn't even stable on 4800Mhz out of the box. This was on a board with no other BIOS settings touched running latest firmware. I now have the Corsair 32GB Dominator Platinum DDR5 and so far it's running good with EXPO. And by the way XMP is Intel not AMD.

          ASROCK PRO RS X670e + 7700x CPU

I know XMP is intel… settings still worked fine for me :)

I'm currently running another set of RAM at 6000 MHz CL 30 (overclocked), but this was the only RAM in stock so I used it for a few weeks and now have it as a spare.

          • @The Wololo Wombat: G.Skill Trident RAM? I have the 7700X + ASUS TUF B650M Plus Wifi mobo, I don't think mine is a great board which is pretty disappointing for the price it was!

            • @Justin9mm: Why do you say it's not such a great board?

              I have this RAM

To be honest, retail manufacture doesn't matter - it's Hynix A Die so it can do whatever you want to set it to, as long as CPU/MB can handle. I could go as low as CAS 28 and also up to 6200Mhz Stable, but CAS 30 and 6000MHz is ok for me.

              • @The Wololo Wombat: Compatibility issues with RAM and random errors, wouldn't even run on the shipped BIOS, lots of people over the net have had similar or same issues as me with the AM5 ASUS boards, they just released a new firmware end of Feb that fixed a lot of issues, never had so much trouble with a PC until AM5. If you haven't had issues you are lucky because a lot of people have struggled with the new AM5 tech. It's not been a smooth ride.

                • +1

                  @Justin9mm: I won't say I've not had issues. I have a 4090 and have experienced frame-drops etc (like… 60FPS… but still, I have 360Hz monitor, so it's jarring) with some games.

I was also expecting that I'd be able to run the full 7200MHz XMP speed… how wrong I was (and stupid, in hindsight, to expect that). Oh well. I have been thinking about moving to flagship Intel.. but at this point… it's expensive!

    Similar build but mATX @Mwave:
    Gigabyte B650M + 7600 (cooler inclu) - $549
    + 2 x Lexar ARES OC 16GB 4800MHz - $79
    = $707 (+ shipping)

Note the RAM is slightly slower but the difference is negligable for most builds.

You need to add the cost of wifi card or adapter in your build if wifi is needed.

  • Dammit I paid $642 for a older bundle months ago.

  • added to cart but doesn't update price or add netflix
