Boost Mobile Recharge Discounts?

Hi. I am on a 12 month SIM plan with Boost and have need for recharge soon. Any tips on gaining discounts of regular cost?

  Boost don't usually give you discounts on recharges. The most they will give you is bonus data when you recharge before the expiry date, but this is usually a targeted deal. You won't get this if they didn't send you an invitation SMS. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/602638

  The best way of getting any sort of discount is porting out to a different telco (see below for examples), staying on that for a short while, look for discounted Boost 365 Day prepaid SIM from third party retailer and then porting back in.

  ABB is offering 1 month free on 4G mobile plan, Gomo does a 30-day free trial on eSIM plans, just to name some examples.

    Is there a guide for porting in and out of a long expiry pre-paid plan. I'm starting to sense best practice is.

    1. Get a 365D long expiry plan, discounted if possible
    2. Port out for 1 billing cycle (~28 days)
    3. Port back into another 365D long expiry plan.

    Is that what you mean?

      No need to wait a whole billing cycle (unless u want to)

      I just did this a week ago. basically manage to get a $1 Vodafone sim, ported out from boost to Voda on Saturday and back to boost on Monday
