Dreame V10 Experiences from Kogan

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a Dreame V10 from Kogan as living on my own in a two bedroom one bathroom unit, it seems like it suits my place. Though I have wooden floors, tiles and carpet and I heard that the V10 doesn't come with a carpet head, is that right?

Is there any issues buying from Kogan from any other places as it seems to be the cheapest, unless anyone knows if Kogan or somewhere else is going to have a sale soon.

  • I bought Dreame V10 back in November (?) 2020, was a preorder that supposed to be delivered in December 2020 but wasn't delivered until mid January 2021. Around 8 months mark, the soft roller head broke and I had to send the whole package back to Kogan, they replaced it with a brand new one. Around 6 months later (14 months after I received the first one), the bin button broke and I got a brand new, updated model with flexible carpet head. They did say it was out of warranty (12 months) but replaced it anyway. I'm still using the third one and nothing breaks, yet. Kogan warranty was decent for me, was a pain to repack the whole thing and send it back twice but at least they replace it twice too. Dreame quality not so sure.

    • Thank you for providing that information. So basically Kogan has been good, but you're not sure about Dreame itself. Do you regret buying one?

      • Performance wise it's solid, it looks good and price is cheapish so I don't regret it. I bought a carpet head & a soft roller head in case the default head broke again.

  • Just note you can't really get replacement batteries anymore for these. I have a v9, roughly 3.5 years old and need a new battery. No one in Australia sells them, and AliExpress costs over half of a whole new machine, plus you have to wait months for it to get here.

    • Oh damn, that might be a bit of an issue. So is it an issue with all Dreame that it's hard to get a battery?

      • Probably will be a problem in the future. I bought a Dreame v9 in 2019 and need to get a new battery for it as it's now tanking. Gearbite who I bought from no longer stock the batteries. I've contacted dreame.com.au but they don't have any either. This is often the compromise with cheaper important appliances: spare parts availability in Australia.

        • Ahh damn, I was thinking of getting the extended care which lasts for 3 years which replaced the battery if it gets damaged (or in this case I assume they'll give me a credit for the total cost) though based on what you said, I'm not so sure now a. Maybe I should just get a Dyson V7. Still thanks for the info man.
