Anyone over the age of 18 with a 4X4 vehicle compliant with Australian Treks 4X4 Treks vehicle requirements is welcome to enter.
So you need a 4WD to enter.
Tour Guides I suppose and people to assist you going through the terrain. If you've seen proper 4x4 drives on Youtube, you sort of need spotters to get out when it gets tight and to make sure you take the right path.
It does seem you can rent a 4x4 but not sure of the value of the comp with that.

to be able to do a trek together + help out (winch + test water depth / etc).
I fail to see how this would be worth $5500 though.
Would hope that at value, it would also include ALL MEALS cooked/provided for you.

Back in 2003, i did a 4WD trek (on my own) … spent 3 months travelling from Perth WA, upto Darwin, down to Alice, then to Kalgoorlie, then back to Perth.
Included several river crossings + Reynolds River track + Daly River tracks in NT + several parts of NW WA gorges … I didn't carry any of the above items (although did run into other trouble - like damaging brake rear brake drum on Gibb River road) … so many happy memories though.
So I am paying for everything. What exactly is the prize?
