have zero knowlage of this brand… but its cheap, and the IOP's are good 75,000/73,000 , no mention on warrenty though…. the sandisks were decent for the price, and prob lean to them as they have good reviews and 3 years warrenty
I have not heard of 8lien before, maybe they are great, don't know. These have been advertised at $185 for sometime here:

So if you are in Melbourne and want one immediately from a brick and mortar store, this would be an option as well.
I'd rather put my $$$ into a reputable B&M shop (see above) than into some unknown online dealer.
Why on earth would you get negged for your comment/opinion
didn't notice, maybe owner of 8lien got upset?
Anand says the Corsair Performance Pro and the Plextor M3 are both basically a rebadged LiteOn M3S - and they both look pretty good to me. Looks like a good drive at a better price.
LiteOn used to make great DVD burners back in the day.
…so will this drive be a good choice to throw into an HP Microserver?
Same OEM stock. No picture, no specs listed.
