Just wondering the ways you go about finding OzBargain deals? Same as me - stumbling on them through google shopping?

Way too slow.
Still even though there are a lot of professionals here.
Not every deal gets posted.
Normally someone is looking for a deal already and just Google is enough
Plus there are the standard deals that always can post tp
Generally when I’m looking for things for myself. If I see something that I think is a good deal when I’m looking for whatever I’m shopping for I’ll post it. I usually browse the supermarket specials once a week on the Wednesday as not everything good is in the catalogue that comes out earlier.
I'm subscribed to a few price watch groups on Discord
Rule of any commodity or action is Price, Quality, Time. Pick any two of these - you can’t have all three.
So give yourself time if at all possible and use that for research. As you research you find most ‘bargains’ are BS, but many items will be subject to real discounts from time to time. Don’t be afraid to haggle - give it a go.For grocery shopping we work with a flexible approach which has us buy specials in high quantities as they come up and having a fairly full pantry and freezer most of the time. That way - if eg meat is not an attractive price we don’t buy for a week or two as we have enough.
For some categories, e.g. airfares, it is dogged persistence, or what 4chan calls weaponized autism. Just trying combination after combination tweaking dates, stopovers etc.
I persistently refresh all my 5 million tabs on amazon/ebay etc to see if any price update has happened, about 50 times a day.
sometimes use camel 3 price alerts but not much has been triggering lately.Stares blankly at Matrix code streaming down a computer screen
"I don't even see the code any more… I just see 48x Kleenex $16 w/ Prime, Mutti Tomatoes 1/2 Price @ Coles, Eneloop Pros 4-pack $15.
I don't even check if it's a deal tbh, as long as the price looks basically okay and it saves me a trip to a physical store, I'll order it.
i have built a bot that automatically searches every website for price drops on products like Breville coffee machines, Eneloops, Teslas, Timnberland jackets, Turkey Netflix, and posts them
You mean ChatGPT built it for you.
Maybe he's referring to dealbot instead?
you'd need to ask dealbot…. the rest are just random finds i think..
Scrapers. Lots and lots of scrapers.
Overwhelming.
I'm under the impression that a lot are just regurgitations from price hipster or similar sites.
