I find Ottolenghi's recipes quite elaborate, or at least are not made up of common items in an Australian pantry - which is understandable given his background and where he lives. Not a complaint, just an observation.

You are correct, but I find that to be part of the attraction to the recipes.

At the end of the book description (on the Kmart link) it states "He is hunting victims… She is hunting him".

How does that fit in with the cook book?

    • Some fine editing on that site (not).
Reminds of buying knock-off DVDs from Asia back in the day, with the totally different covers on the front and back of the case.

  • Out of stock online.

Seems like most stores don't have stock. Good deal if you can get it.

If people want to try out a few recipes look here.

    I can recommend this one.

I cut off the cauliflower florets fir baking and run the inner stem but through the food processor. I also use whatever herbs I have in the garden. It is a tad time cinsim8ng but well worth it.
You can get frozen pomegranate arils in the Supermarket. I usually heat them up in the fry pan.

    • “Time consuming”. That was bad even for finger tapping on my iPad.
