Man these amazon brand names are getting weirder every day.

    • I remember a video not too long ago explaining that its basically so they can get a trademark, the more obscure it is the less likely it is to clash with an already trademarked name.

      • Linus tech tips says it is done so scammers can rip people off then cycle to another random name to repeat the process.
I will avoid buying from these kinds of brand names in future. Reviews for this listing indicates there are quality control issues with the cables also.

  • I have the orange version of these, 1 went straight to the bin, 3 actually work quite well and I am still using one now at work. I am especially careful with cables - I wont touch my phone if its on charge as I believe that's the main thing that kills cables. For the price I am pretty happy and in the likely chance one goes missing I am not losing a whole heap of money either.

Consider just paying more for a good quality cable, like this anker one that is currently discounted.

Then I lose $20 per cable every time one goes missing, I appreciate it, will save for when my home one dies eventually but for work its too good :P

  • Agreed. Save your money and don’t buy.

I'm curious to know why this is regularly claimed. Other than genuine Apple lightning cables, I've never had a charge cable fail because of how the cable is sheathed. It's always the wires inside that break, or occasionally a contact on the connector.

Is there any truth to the claim that a nylon sheath makes cables last longer? Or is it just marketing?
