If you don't like the logo no logo dial is same price.

    • +1

I like the no logo version, nice & clean.

  • +3

    Just do it.

Got the SD1970 for a couple of dollars more about a year ago and gets a lot more wrist time than some of my much more expensive watches.

For anyone into autos (or even if you're just starting out), then believe the hype in the YT videos and reviews - no better bang for buck out there.

    Don't forget 4.5% Cashrewards.

    • Did you go with the bracelet band? I'm thinking black dial with the waffle band for comfort and original look. That other silicone band looks tacky with the holes?

      • Black dial with SS band.

Can always get an after market silicon or other band.

TBH, I don't really have too many problems with the SS band. Obviously heavier than my titanium Eco drives, but kind of suits the heft of the whole watch size and dial styling.

        • How do you like the titanium eco drive? I was looking at a Garrison as a cheaper alternative to a Promaster.

          • @misu p: love my titanium ecodrive have the blue and the black divers ..blue i had to get off amazon from UK black was starbuy …. if worried about weight titanium is verrrry light.

            • @garage sale: Thanks mate… I think I may just splurge a little and get me one :).

  • Which one should I choose: SD1970, SD1953 or the SD1980?

    • +2

      1970 is the winner.

      • Agree, definitely start there - iconic look.

Torn myself whether to try the SD1953, just not sure which colour to go with. Probably looks best in black, but already have the SD1970 in black.

        • SD1953 looks fantastic as well. Too hard to choose 🤔

    • I would go for the sd1980, a slightly cleaner look for the dial and a little big bigger and that suits me better:

      • Bought the sd1980!

  • @WatchNerd, something slightly more my style, but not willing to fork out like half a grand for what my eyes tell me looks like sort of those Seiko Turtles that've been going around on here.. The green finish on these look pretty sharp!

Which one would you recommend for a first green watch? 😅 I'm sort of digging the 53' Green face/black bezel. What would you go if it had to be with a green finish?

Edit: Seems the 80' in green is already OOS. But now after seeing some of the review images, I REALLY dig the green 80'.. 😪

The SD1970 is the one that gets talked about the most. I own one and it's an amazing watch for the price.

But you should always buy what you like as you're the one who'll be wearing it.

      • Thanks buddy! Yeah, I might just get the no-logo 70. Watched a lot of YT last night trying to sus them out, finally coming to the conclusion, they're all the same parts basically so like you said, just trying to figure out which one I'd like the best. 😅

Interesting to know it's sort of a hit and miss sometimes with these Chinese ones as to wether you get good allignment on bezel/markers. I think I fell asleep on a recent video where a person got both bezel (completely in the middle of the next second) and I think it was like the 7 marker was even out of allignment.. 😅

I'm keen as beans though, when I wake up properly, I'll go over the images again and see which one I like best. 😄

  • Was about to buy and price has gone up or I'm doing something wrong?

This watch is amazing value for what it is (a captain Williard homage).

It’s got amazing lume, shapphire crystal, and NH35 movement, and a ceramic bezel.

You can’t really get all those specs at this price point anywhere else.

I own one and I’m seriously impressed with it.

  • Agree with all these comments, its a beautiful looking watch with great specs. Unfortunately mine came with the face slightly off-centre, drives me crazy!

    • Not exactly sure what you mean but if the dial is slightly misaligned you could unscrew the back and fix it.

      • +1

Yeah I've been meaning to buy some tools to work on my watches. Never had a watch until I saw your posts @WatchNerd, now I have 8!

See what you gone and did @WatchNerd..

@WasBargain: I'm helping people make more money because they won't be late to work.

  • Would any of these look OK on a super skinny 5.9 inch (15cm) wrist?

  • It's a decent sale with the promo - it effectively pays for the GST that Aliexpress add on to Aus deliveries. (or am I a mug and there is a way around this?)

I just ordered a Pagani Design Daytona clone, $97 delivered. Ordered last night, got the shipping notification this monring.
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005027952059.html if anyone is interested.

  • Excellent watch for the price (noting the qualifer there "for the price"). I got it slightly cheaper by about $4 during the Black Friday sales so this is about as good as it gets.

If you want to go slightly up a level though, the Pagani Design Turtle for an extra $30-$40 has a better design and a better bracelet.

    • Did you have a link?

I foud one going for $142.87 (before any discounts or added tax) but the product videos show the bezel allignment like WAY obviously off.. Pictures come out perfect, but the videos are all misaligned.. 😅

The green one looks really nice!

  • Hey yo @WatchNerd, can you confirm this deal ends at around 6pm on Monday? Just thinking to put the order through Monday morning..

    • +1

You can never be sure with Aliexpress so it's best to follow the 1st rule of Ozbargain.

      • I might have to miss out on this one.. Having issues with my Paypal..

I've realised you've basically posted every past deal of these, so can I get a guarantee you'll shout me out on the next one? Haha.

I will definitely snap one up next time in the green, soo niceee. Just wondering aswell though, guessing it doesn't actually go to their listed RRP of like $626 or something yeah?

        TIA! <3

Don't dilly dally, you should buy it now otherwise you might look back later and say = "damn that was bargain".

  • Logo'd still available under SuperDeals but unsure how long it will last. Non-logo up to $131 now (with taxes).

Arrived today and I like it a lot. Cheers WatchNerd for heads up on this deal, it was this or the Invicta Pro Diver. Both are good but glad I went with this. Bias is alive and well.
