Do anyone use them?
I need to install a roller curton on a window about 5 m above floor!!! So I will also need a solar panel. I kind of prefer Aqara's E1 because it is Aqara! It doesnt come with a solor panel. I am sure i can simply buy one and connect it to the charging point (?), but I am not ENOUGH sure about this.
On the other hand, this Zemismart one has already included the solar panel. It uses tuya and zigbee (and wifi), while aqara uses zigbee.
Which should I choose?
How much cheaper? I can't see any cheaper than JB's $99

and now aqua_home has also redcued their price to $99.99, and again there is a coupon to reduce another $10.
I have both the zemismart and the aqara e1. Hands down the aqara. The cog mechanism on the zemismart isn’t very good, and requires a lot of tension in the cable otherwise it slips and your blind no longer moves unless you adjust it again. I ended up having to buy 30cm chain loops to get them to not slip. The aqara coz on the other hand is much better designed and doesn’t slip even if there is a bit of slack on the cord. My blinds have the metal bead chain
Aqara for me but charging will be a pita. I'm sure you could find a solar charger easy enough though
You could get a tube motor. They don't use the cord so don't have slipping/tension issues. Zemismart sell them with solar chargers.
Also prefer Zigbee over WiFi, as it can't make a backdoor into your home network.
im not sure the tube type will suit me better than the "cord" type? I do need to buy a new roller shade though.
just notice that aqara E1 is on sale at JB hifi at $99! but it is still cheaper on ebay.
