XGIMI Horizon 1080P Projector $1348 Delivered @ Mobileciti

110
SAVE250

Reached out to @Bargainsgrabber to ask if there was any better deal available for XGIMI projectors other than what was already available with their current BG10/15 promo @ mobiciti.

BG has provided code SAVE250 to bring the Xgimi 1080p horizon down a few more dollars to $1348.

I've been watching the prices on xgimi horizon 1080 and xgimi halo+ for a few months on and off now and $1348 seems to be the best price for some time now!

Not to nit-pick.. but how many nits?

    • Hm can’t find an answer anywhere, only can confirm and ansi lumen listed at 2200

      • Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro only comes in at 1200 ansi lumen, big difference! Nice

        • Yeah that’s why I was getting it, bang for buck seems impressive

        • On paper yes, but many reviews seem to indicate that the real lumen for xgimi is around 1100.

          xgimi game denied the findings.
Lumen difference was going to be my deciding factor as well, but once I found that I went with the Xiaomi Pro 2 for $850.

However, the real selling factor of Xgimi are easy mount (single screw under) with official stand, as well as 3D capabilities if that matters to you.
For me these were not worth $500-600 difference in price.

I suggest the Xiaomi Laser ALDP3.0 Projector (not ultra short throw) if you're after high brightness, but it's relatively new and not available directly in Australia.

last I checked you could buy them from china from around $1300 shipped.

          • @OpayuOnam:

Damn that’s disappointing, might go through with it anyway though. Already swore off anything related to xiaomi after having issues with xiaomi/Viomi robot vaccums and xiaomi cameras

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: fair enough, there's no same for the Xiaomi at the moment so like for like I would take Xgimi, busy that with the office difference pro 2 was a no brainer.
I'm actually pretty happy with the projector considering the price.

              good sound
              Bright
              easy to use
much faster than Google TV with Chromecast

          • @OpayuOnam: 1100 ANSI? well this review is pitching it at 1600 ANSI. I have one of these and I am happy with its brightness. This is my first projector though so I don't really have a reference for comparison.

            • @nokia3660: 1600 is still significantly less than 2200, nonetheless it's false advertising.

Got a xgimi halo early december off amazon for $1084 delievered to qld.
Its 800 ANSI lumens for the halo 1. The most of any of the small portable projectors. Easily enough for evening watching.
Not sure how much better the horizon is?

To be honest I am so glad I bought the halo. It has been an amazing projector. Detail is incredible at 90inch on a white wall.
Sound is a bit meh but i just use a portable bose speaker or headphones.

I travel for work and so this projector serves as an amazing huge tv for accomodation that often has tiny crappy tvs.

    • not sure how much better the horizon is?

      800 vs 2200 ansi lumens

I wanted portable originally but rather just have literally 2.5 x the lumen so can use it during the day, curtains closed

      • refer to my comment above about advertised brightness..

      • The halo is just enough for use during the day with curtains or blinds closed. Excels at night.
But hey i cant say i watch tv during the day anyway.
Id say 800 lumens is plenty.
$300 more for 400 more lumens… probably worth it for you if youre in a higher ambient light situation i guess

    • I've been looking at getting the Halo+ but uncertain about which apps might be available after seeing the Netflix issue which does have a work around.

Can you download Stan and Foxtel apps using the Play store on these devices?

      Appreciate your help! Thanks

      • Just get a google tv or fire stick?

        • Yeah that's always an option, just wanted to see if it natively supports

  • This costs over $1k?! Time to put mine on eBay. I have one of the previous models (h2?) looks almost identical!

    • +1

      Inflation brah

    • Actually maybe the h2 was the CN domestic model? This has been around since 2020 I think so timeline lines up
